Default i've been having trouble with my truck. its a 2000 chevy truck. v6, single cab.

anyway. for the past week, it has been acting up. i push the gas pedal and it wont go. the rpms dont seem to be going up. i've had this problem in the past, and the place i took it to, changed the fuel filter, and it was fine up until now. i went and had it changed again, and no progress. so i thought it was the fuel pump. nope. my truck died at a stop light and the message center said "check engine temp." the guy has done everything and found nothing wrong. so when i was driving it, it would not go over 36 mph. what do you all think is wrong with my truck? any suggestions or comments will help!!!

check the spark plugs,
if it said check engine temp, could be the thermostat, but that shouldn't cause it to not run.

you have a SMALL PIN HOLE in the supply gas line. and what is happening is , the gas line, under vacuum draw, is sucking in the ouside air. this si dropping you gas line pressure from the pump, and giving you the same driving problems as a weak fuel pump. get a rubber, doubled webbed gas line, and put it from the tank, to the motor. double screw clamp both ends, and be sure the rubber gas line goes not touch the exhaust pipes at any location.
I hope that this info. i have just gave you, will help you on your repair!!
