tranny problems 1990 chevy 1500?

I replaced the auto trans in my '90 chevy with a used one from a friend, (I know, used? but it was free!) he said it was rebuilt not too long before the truck was parked. When cold, it goes right into gear, but if I get it warm, shut if off and try to go in either direction it acts like its in neutral, the longer I drive the worse it is, sometimes freewheeling after letting off the gas, down a hill and trying to go at the bottom. Also it seems to surge between drive and OD. Fluid and filter changed, TV cable adjusted correct, good positive shifts when it is working, tried unplugged and plugged in wires on left side, no aux cooler. I was thinking the fluid is getting too hot and thin, or a bad torque converter, but hoping someone has a simpler fix. Thanks in advance.

can't find Chevy 3.8 motor mount bushings?

i have a chevy impala 3.8 series II. its a 2004 and it needs new motor mounts. if you're familiar with this engine, i'm looking at the front motor mounts right on top. there's a bracket that bolts almost on top of the radiator. then a dog bone connects to that and bolts to the engine.
there's two rubber bushings on that dog bone. one on the side bolting to the engine. and one on the side with the bracket that bolts to the radiator. the wishbone fits in that bracket and there is a bushing in there. i need the bushing inside the bracket on the radiator.

if anyone knows where i can find this part. or maybe a site with every chevy part and a diagram or something to pick off of.

any help would be awesome.

if i forget to keep track of mileage i will run out of fuel even though my gauge says it it is full decided to have the car diagnosed at gm s customer service request and what i already knew i was told gauge sensor not functioning, gm said it was due to the age of the vehicle and mileage that is what chevy dealer said, after asking the dealer why he said this he claims that he did not say this and that it is not a very comon thing however there was no way of knowing if it is a defect , i since did some research and seen that there are a number of complaints and the Canadian cavalier has a recall any suggestion how i could pursue this with gm
