My corolla is a 5spd manual and the corolla with the 14" alloys is a 3spd auto. Will I just have to change the speedo sensor? if so can the sensor from the auto go onto my manual?

2007 Toyota Yaris question?

i have a 2007 Yaris, its still in very good working condition after 20,000 miles (yes young i know) but heres the thing:

when i bought it new in 07, after driving it for a few weeks, when the winter set in, i noticed this antifreeze smell coming through the vents.

this smell would go on for about 3 mins, then dissapear completely.

I took it to the dealer, had it checked and rechecked. they said nothing wrong, checking myself too.

checked, no leaks in parking spots, nothing.

so, i ignored it, and it went away eventually, but its now happening again.

i read this problem happens to older cars with 100l+ miles because of a bad heater core, but nobody can figure out why it happens to new or newer fresh cars.

Should I buy an 04 Nissan Maxima or an 03 Toyota Celica?

I'm 18 years-old and I have a choice on purchasing 1 of these cars. I have to pay for the insurance and gas on it (and $100 a month to my parents for the loan). Anyway, I only work part time at my job(I make about $500 a month) and I am indecisive about which car would be better for me. I like to hang out with friends and do all that so keep that in mind. Ill give you the mileage each car has:

04 Nissan Maxima: 89,000 miles; BUT, the vehicle has a very clean interior and exterior(no dents or scratches, and it has a sound system and T.v.

03 Celica: 74,000 miles; has clean interior and exterior. Nothing special except that its sporty and gets better gas mileage than the Maxima.

Which do you think is better for me? I want a nice car, but at the same time, I dont want every dime I make going into the car. Help!
