Scion tC Reliability questions.?

I've been researching the Scion tC. But i cannot find a solid answer with proof of the tC's reliability ratings.
Edmunds, JD power, etc all say that the reliability is shotty. But no site provides any information proving this.
The edmunds site goes as far to say that the tC receives a 2.5 of 5 rating. But the proceeds to rate all the categories as having 'minimal problems'.
I've ordered a 2010, so obviously there aren't too many reviews on this, especially dealing with reliability.
But from experience, how has the car been in the past?
Any seemingly reoccurring problems?

Thank you in advance!

Is a Scion xD (2010) a good first car?

I'm 17 (and male) and by the end of this month my parents are getting me a car. I've been on borderline several times about which one to get. I've brought up the xD and other cars (Toyota Matrix, Honda Fit, and Scion xB) with my parents as well to consider. I'm swinging toward the xD since I've searching up information about it and finding good results, and also just a few bad results here and there that doesn't really discourage me to not get it.

Mainly I'm looking for a good hatchback that has good mpg, decent space, isn't that cost effective, and won't be that much of a burden with insurance. I'll be mainly using the car to go to school and work.

So would you choose the xD in my position or should I choose it?

Thanks for your time, very much appreciated.

Why is my Scion XB over heating AGAIN?!?!?

In the last 5 months I've had my Radiator, Radiator cap, thermostat and spark plug coil replaced. Now my car is overheating again. My Catalytic converter needs to be replaced...maybe this is the reason? It is a 2006 Scion XB with over 90,000 miles on it. I change the oil and oil filter regularly. Is there something else that can be causing this? I'm just sick of taking it to the mechanic and frankly I'm running out of money because there is no more warranty on my car.

Why is a tire pressure light on in my Scion tC?

I just filled up my tires the other day to what they are supposed to be (32 front, 29 back). I drove home and the car had been fine the whole time without the light on. My parents just took a trip to Florida and when they came home they said the light was on, so I figured my pressure was up too high. I let the tires cool for a few hours and I just now checked them and they are all right where they need to be. What could be wrong? Should I take it in to a repair shop?

Scion xB question--What would cause it to start but not respond to any gears?

I have a 2006 Scion xB with about 62,000 miles. Yesterday, I filled her up, and when I restarted her, she started smoothly like usual. Nevertheless, there seemed to be no response when I pressed the accelerator. I tried changing gears (manual transmission) and still no response. I turned off the car, restarted it, and everything was back to normal.

Does anyone know what might have been happening?

Thanks for your responses.
