My fog light has a crack across the glass and it's not coming on. The headlight bulbs on the mazda Protege5 are really ugly to replace (at least compared to a honda) so I'm worried that the fog light might be as bad or worse. I wouldn't call myself mechanically minded but I'm willing to get my hands dirty and try to do the basics.

1996 Mazda protege MPG help needed!?

I recently Bought a '96 Mazda Protege. I've been trying to figure out the gas mileage for it. When the gauge read empty I filled it up. I had only gone 190 miles on 10 gallons. I only drive it around town mostly to work and home and stuff, Rarely getting on the freeway. now I had a Geo Metro before this(I had to get rid of it for burning a quart of oil a week.) and I was use to getting 30 or so MPG every time I'd fill up. but now I'm getting roughly 19. The car runs great I'm using 89 Ocatane gas, and it appears to be in good shape, but my question is, is this a normal MPG for this car? and how can I improve it if possible? should I be Using a different grade of gas?

Thanks for your help!

im debating. im in LOVE with these cars but im not too knowledgeable of the rotary engine. my dad knows almost everything about cars and does all of my maintenance. i know i cant use synthetic oil for it and i know it uses alot of oil. i have no problem with that considering my cavalier leaks oil now and i have to add a quart every couple months depending on how much i drive. all i care about is if it will be more of a headache for me than its worth?

im wanting this car because its a cheaper sports car that looks amazing. does anyone know a lot about these cars or even better, you have one and can tell me if it needs a lot of work to maintain? im not one to want to do alot of auto mechanic work considering im a girl haha.

also, are they very expensive and hard to fix if broken? are they good cars for just a young girl [21] with money that wants a nice looking car that handles really well? my main thing is literally that im scared that it will be a horrible car to have and keep up. my guy friends keep telling me no no no and that its such a horrible engine that will cause me nightmares of keeping it in the shop. please help. thanks!
also, i know NOTHING about rotary engines. only that they are based on friction or something and use different oil to lube up the things that cause friction. sorry im not very car-savy. thats just what ive heard. but i have no problem doing research and learning. plus, i dont rag on my cars and hardly EVER go faster than 80. i just think they look great. but the speed is a plus.

...me with advice.? I am considering buying a 05 Mazda 3 s GT. There are 28,000 miles and it is fully loaded including navigation system. 2.3 L engine. Leather. Is the GT a Canadian Model as I've read? I live in Pennsylvania in the USA. So will it matter at all if it is a Canadian model? The list price from a dealership is $15,990 USD.

What do you think of this car and this deal?
How much should I expect to be able to negotiate the price down to?

I am 23 year old male by the way.

Thanks for the help.
