I live down about 2 miles of dirt road and all the roads around me are windy and in horrible condition so front end problems are plentiful. I was noticing a clicking sound coming from the front end when I corner (usually going down hill) and sometimes when I accelerate or hit the brakes and or let out the clutch and go from a dead stop. It is usually one click when the suspension compresses going into the corner and one when it rebounds coming out. I started cheap and did my U-joints, and sway bar links (which were horrible). My truck definitely handles better but the click is still there. I also shook my tire around and it seems to have an OK amount of play. I have read some stuff about clicking from worn CV joints but it sounds like in this case I would hear continuous clicking when cornering. I hear just one or two distinct clicks per corner. It is a 4 door forrest green car, with a crack in the passenger door. So it's not the most attractive car.. also, winter is coming up, and it doesnt run well at all. The car shakes alot, and roars when it is started up. I've also had problems starting it in the past.. we've had many problems with this car, including it overheating, power steering going out, and other minor things. I'm 17, and a jr in highschool. My school is one of the 'richer, nicer' schools, and most cars in the parking lot are extremely nice.. which is already a little awkward for me. Then, with it running horrible, and me working 25 mins away from home everyday, and winter coming, i really want something new. I am very thankful i have a car, dont get me wrong.. but i feel its the right time for something new. My mom and dad both work, mom has 2 jobs actually, and myself aswell.
