My Courtesy Toyota of Brandon reviewThe salesperson was the only thing decent about the purchase. The finance manager, finance director, and the GM were all about as dishonest as possible.
Never again will I return to this place …
If you want the whole story, here it is:
I purchase a vehicle on 12/26/2011 and requested Grow Financial, my personal bank, as the lender. The approval was completed and all paperwork signed by me showed Grow Financial as the lender and lien-holder. Yesterday, I received a call from Wells Fargo about my new loan. Apparently, Courtesy Toyota sent my contract to Wells Fargo without my authorization. The loan has now been funded by Wells Fargo and no one will show me any paperwork that offers my acceptance.
I asked Courtesy Toyota why it was sent to Wells Fargo instead of Grow Financial and their response was that Grow had a contingency of an additional $1,400 that would come out of my pocket, so they choose Wells Fargo. I called Grow and found out that this was not true and that only an automated response was used on the day after Christmas. After looking in their system, the automated response only asked for income verification in the form of 2 pay stubs.
I questioned Courtesy Toyota again about why they did not use the account that I authorized, and they stated that they are allowed to use any bank that offers equal of better value than what I had accepted regardless of what we had agreed on. They stated then that any conversation that was not noted on the contract was not valid. They only have to follow the guidlines of the contract.
I know for a fact that this is not true, but now I have had to retain an attorney, this is going to be a much more lengthy process than I wanted when purchasing a car.
