My Mercedes of Houston Greenway reviewI contacted the pre-owned sales department inquiring about an 07 Lexus GS350 that they had in stock for a decent price. I was then routed to Sayed Housein that worked in Pre-Owned sales. He gave me the facts about the car and asked me to come into the pre-owned sales department to take a look at it. It was pouring that day so I knew he wanted to make a sale that day. He asks me what I do for a living and he inquires about a position for his son. He reassures me that he will get me the absolute best price which would be $2400 off of the price of the car (the wholesale price) I looked at the car and it was exactly the car that I was looking for. We fast forward to a couple of days later and I bring my trade in to see if we can work out a deal. He has me sign a lot of paperwork that I am not comfortable with signing, but reassures me that this is the way that it works. He brings the paper work to show me the difference of my trade in and I show that the price of the car is still the sticker price! Unfortunately this would not work for me and we work some numbers and finally come to a final price that I am comfortable with, but he did not initially provide the price that he promised.
I come on a Friday to pick up the car but unfortunately I forgot the insurance card as I had cleaned out my car on the previous day and totally slipped my mind. As I walk in, Sayed greets me, but is intrigued by another potential customer and has me wait in the front lobby of the pre-owned office for 20 minutes and rushes off in a haste to contact the other customer. This left a very sour taste in my mouth. We get some finance paper with Phyllis (who is a pleasure to deal with, with no pressure at all) and I come back the following Saturday to finalize the deal. On this Saturday I see Sayed for all of 5 minutes before he disappears, basically not giving me the service that I expect from a Mercedes Benz dealership! Even though I am a young professional, and on the brinks of attempting to repair my credit, I DO NOT deserve to be treated how Sayed treated me.
I leave with the car on Saturday very happy with the car itself, but still with a sour taste in my mouth at the level of absolute terrible service from Sayed. I decide to shrug it off and blame myself for not picking an alternate salesman.
About a week and a half later, I get a call from Sayed stating that the finance company has requested to confirm employment but has not been able to reach me. Fair enough. He asks me to call this phone number to verify employment. I call immediately with no answer so I attempt the next morning also without an answer. I get a phone call from Sayed around 9AM from my work phone requesting that I call once again, and that I should “take care of this” in a VERY rude tone. It was absolutely disturbing that he now had the audacity to call me on my work phone and hound me about this issue when all he is merely caring about is to save his sale. I tell Sayed that this is absolutely unacceptable and that I have already attempted to take care of this issue more then once. I am a very busy person at work and I do not appreciate being hounded by a rude salesman.
I then call the finance company once again LIVID, not necessarily at them, but more at the bad and sour taste that was ONCE AGAIN left in my mouth. They notify me that my loan has been finalized and that there was nothing else further I needed to do which raises the question of why Sayed did not stay on top of this issue before hounding me at work?
DO NOT BUY FROM MERCEDES-BENZ GREENWAY! Absolute terrible customer service!
This review is being forwarded to all internet gateways as I want to prevent anybody else from getting treated like a number instead of an actual human being. I bought an Infiniti G35 in 06 from Tony at Northside Infiniti (Sewell Infiniti now) and I have had GREAT pleasure dealing with him. It’s a good thing that you can remember a salesmans name, but it’s terrible to remember them for a bad reason.
