After all my research, I decided on the 2010 Audi Q5. I contacted several dealers through the internet. Sang Lee, from McKenna replied almost immediately and we initiated a search for the color, model, options, etc. I went for a test drive with Sang and he was extremely pleasant and answered all of my questions, but I did not buy the car then because they did not have the color and options I wanted.
Sang promised me he’d get the car for me and we negotiated the price. Sang was later replaced by Grace Cerince and she called me on April 30th, 2010 to go and get the car right away or it would be sold to someone else. Because I really love the Q5 I made an appointment for 7:00 pm.
When my husband and I arrived at 7:00pm, Grace greeted us and we started the transaction. Once price and terms were agreep upon she sent me (us) to the finance department. I immediately put myself on guard because I knew what was coming.
The paperwork was done with Michael Williamson, Director of Finance. A very nice young man; too nice for a finance guy you’d say, and I now know why.
It was 10:30 pm and we are still in his office. While I kept saying “no” to some of his “extras”, he kept insisting, we would not let us leave, we were tired and I felt that I was losing the battle. I knew I was going to buy the extended warranty, which I negotiated, but I also knew NOT to buy anything for the “paint protection”, etc.,
However, Michael pushed so hard on me that I actually was worn out and I had to say yes in order to go home, so I had to buy the “Strikeforce 1 Paint Protection” for over $500.00, I think it was $560.00 USD. You all should know that this is a HUGE RIP OFF!
If you saw what the guy from Strikeforce did to my car, it was so ridiculous! You would laugh your heart out, and yes, I feel so stupid!
I spent so much time researching, I knew what to do and what to say, and yet, this Michael got me. Any decent person would have let go.
Bought my car from here too. Same thing, Q5, knew my game plan and we too got duped into strikeforce. What a joke. I’m still trying to remove swirl marks and water spots that sf was supposed to prevent/repel, whatever. It did NOTHING!!
We were greated by a really friendly female sales person and another salesman helped us out with our test drive and purchase a few days later.
They didnt pressure us and we felt like we had the world to choose from. They made everything readily available and purchasing our first family car was extremely enjoyable and a bit below our budget which made it perfect! Mckenna is now our family dealership!!:)
I came in for a serpentine belt replacement. The job done was superb by the mechanic. Before I picked up my car, Dan R. in service named a bunch of items I would need to get done on my car. Each item was tag with a ridiculous price. I could pretty much do the estimate in my head of what the cost should be for each job — amount for parts (call parts to find out which I did) and then add about $110 – $150 for labor. So, I asked to see the mechanic who had serviced my car. Dan was hesitant to let me talk to the mechanic. I kept insisting. Then when the mechanic came out to talk to me, Dan R wouldnt let the guy talk. He kept overtalking the guy; basically, he kept interrupting. How rude was that? For example, earlier on the phone when Dan told me I needed my brake pads replaced because they’re about 2mm. He proceeded to scare me that if it got down to
What this wonderful Audi driver did not mention was that to replace a cracked serpentine belt on a 2001 A4 2.8 liter V6 is almost double of what I charged her, just trying to be nice to a first time customer at our dealership. As far as the list of recomendations was what was seen on a free safety inspection, there were no scare tactics used. I was merely informing the owner of the condition of her car concerning the brakes I was just informing of the benefit of replacing the brake pads before they damaged the brake rotors ( prevent a higher cost of repairs later). We are a professional Audi dealership and when the customer was asking the sevice tech to do sidework on my service driveway it was a slap in the face, after the discount she recieved and excellent service! This is why I was so involved with her conversation with our service tech. I invite anybody to come in and let me demonstrate what great service myself and other proud Audi service reps will provide to all customers.
