:x My father had a fuel pump replaced in his 1995 Dodge Grand Caravan in November, 2006, by Stamey Dodge in Marion, North Carolina while he was on vacation. The people there were outstanding in every way! In April, 2007, the fuel pump went out again, and required a replacement at 100% parts and labor warranty coverage. The nearest Dodge Service Department was only a few miles from his home. This, unfortunately, was Tim Marburger Dodge. He took the van to T.M. Dodge Service Department and informed the service technician that this was a warranty repair of the fuel pump, and gave the technician the paperwork that was faxed to us by Stamey Dodge informing them of the details of the initial repair. My father then informed the technician that he only wanted the warranty repair done and "nothing else." A few hours later, the service technician called my parents' home and informed my father that he had taken the brakes apart (without authorization!!) and that they were in pieces and needed immediate repair at a cost of $485.00. My father told the technician that he would do his own brake repairs and to only do the warranty work. The service technician informed my father that he would not do the warranty repairs if my father did not authorize the brake repairs as well. My father said he would have the van towed to his home to do the brake repairs and the technician said, "Then I won't do the warranty work either." This service technician used intimidation tactics to convince my senior citizen father to authorize a brake job that was unnecessary as proven by a certified mechanic sho has inspected every piece of the brakes that were removed from my father's van. I have spoken to the service manager and to the general manager, and they are all in agreement that they need to keep the money that was dishonestly taken from my father. My warning to all consumers is to be VERY careful of Tim Marburger Dodge Sales AND Service as they are crooked, and we have the brakes to prove it! We are seeking legal action against this company! Keep an eye out for the news that is generated as a result of the actions that the personnel representing Tim Marburger Dodge have chosen to take to get money from the senior citizens of the community! The truth will prevail!
