Bought a car here on early June this year. Finance guy “pushed” me to buy additional maintenance (MasterTech) and extended warranty (Acura Care) contracts in order to qualify for better interest rate.
I finally bought them but then went on to cancel the additional stuff within 1 month after buying. Haven’t received any refund until today (end of October).
I called both Acura Care and MasterTech and apparently they haven’t received any contract cancellation request from dealership.
VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS DEALERSHIP.. not recommending to purchase here.
Absolutely terrible customer service! These guys are crooks and will pressure you to accept their scam! Do not walk but RUN away from this dealership!!!
It is recommended to keep your own knowledge up click here to date around day devices for the job.
If you are interested in having a home addition or some remodeling project.
Depending on where you mean to take the electric panel ground,
as it is buried. Causes of many house fires can be traced back to a relay
device problem, it seems almost impossible to determine any registered tradesmen! For the best and top rated electrical service providers.
This is my first time visit at here and i am in fact happy to read all at alone place.
Sharbel,
Last weekend my fiancée and I decided to start looking at a new car to replace her outdated Honda civic. We began our search online and found a car we were interested in at Mac Churchill. We decided to start there since we had a few cars in mind before we made a decision. We were immediately greeted as if the prey had landed. We told Diamond what car we were looking for and hehent inside to get the key meanwhile we wandered around looking at cars without anyone which is when Keith arrived looking like a lost puppy searching for the car I was starting to think didn’t exist. Finally it wa allocated and it appeared to be in relative good condition for age and mileage. After further inspection I noticed a large dent that’s panned the entire width of the cars roof. There were also interior smoke smells and detailing issues. I expressed these to both Keith and David diamond who acted as if they didn’t know. Bull shit! You know damn well who is on the lot as I’m damn sure you offered the previous owner far less due to the obvious flaws. In typical car sales man fashion they both stated they could fix the issues as part of the deal. We once again explained we had a few other cars in mind and we would be back if this one made the cut. We were brought inside because they wanted to show us one more suv which never existed. The ploy was to get us in to finance tonight. The bs that they have a lender standing by to approve tonight let’s make it happen we will approve you on the spot. We said not tonight and they continued to push financing from adding me to the application to not using an outside lender as they will get us a better deal tonight. We said no and I finally has has enough and demanded our license back which they couldn’t do until we spoke with a manager. At this point my fiancée walked out before she did things she would regret. I told David I neede our documents and the deal is nonexistent. David returned not with my license but with sales manager who was just a shady as the rest. I told him no deal I want my documents. He continued to talk over me until I stood up and demanded my documents once and for all. Truly held hostage! They both followed me outside to try and make the deal completely persistent in making sales happen. We said no again and got in the car when the manager motioned me to roll down my window and he shouted how about $250 a month would you do that tonight? NO we said no deal plenty of times it almost turned into harassment. Now… Sharbell Latouff you cannot begin to tell me that this is not normal. Read your damn reviews and quit using your tacky unapologetic scripted apologies. I myself have had the opportunity to review comments for my business and simply stating that this is not normal and not how we conduct business doesnt do squat. Actually trying to change and become a better business takes more work than a word document full of scripted apologies. I can honestly say it is obvious that your employees are a direct reflection of their faithful GM Sharbell is obvious. You have some extensive work to repair all issues with you and your staff before anyone I know will return for business.
Sincerely,
Robert
Towed in vehicle to get serviced due to loud popping noise and inability to drive vehicle. Apparently, the strut was broken. Only had vehicle about 3 months and is still under nonpowertrain warranty with only about 35,000 miles. The service gentleman refused to honor warranty due to his exact words “He and the other service guys all have TSX cars and they have never seen or experienced anything like this before so WE must have done something to break the strut”. Unfortunately, the service manager was gone for the day. However, if this is the type of customer service Acura displays, this will be a long battle because we refuse to pay for an item covered under warranty that we nor the dealership knows how it was broken.
Treshia, I’m sorry to hear about the broken strut on your TSX. Please allow me to connect you with our Service Manager to see how we can resolve this issue. When time permits, contact me directly at the below e-mail address and I will look into this matter immediately. I hope you can accept our apologies. Kind regards, Sharbel Lattouf – GM | [email protected]
I went to Mac Churchill to purchase a used vehicle with cash. I had been shopping around for several weeks and they had exactly what I was looking for. The overall purchase went fairly smoothly. However, within a couple of days, the ABS light came on indicating that my brakes weren’t working properly. I also learned that the rearA/C wasn’t working nor were the heated seats. Although I purchased the vehicle with no warranty, I would have expected these issues to have been corrected prior to the dealer putting the car on the lot. I spoke with several managers at the dealership and no one was even willing to listen. One of them even laughed at me and asked me what I expected from a 10 year old vehicle. I’ll tell you what I expect… I expect decent service. I expect more from Mac Churchill than I would from a tote the note. I’ve always done my business with Moritz in the past and I will do business with Moritz in the future.
Jennifer, If you want a car with a warranty, buy one with awarranty. If you can find a 10 year old car with a warranty, buy it, but don’t hold your breath. Did you think to ask/check out the various functions of the auto before you purchased it??
You said you got the exact car you wanted and the sale went smoothly. Live with it!!
I am a very satisfied customer who has been buying from Mac Churchill for 30 years and I have never had a problem with any car I ever purchased.
Jennifer, I’m sorry to hear about the issues you discovered following your used car purchase. Our service director would be happy to discuss this matter and work with you. Please contact me at your earliest convenience so I can connect you with him. Kind regards, Sharbel Lattouf – GM | [email protected]
Promises, promises ,promises, but end the end didn’t want to help work with me on my vehicle trade in that would should me with negtive equity of about $3,000. Please work with me and turned away like I was yesterday’s news.
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We strive to provide a first class sales experience to all of our customers, and it is unacceptable that you received anything less. I would appreciate the chance to talk with you more about your experience. Please contact me directly so that we can hopefully work together to come to an understanding. Kind regards, Sharbel Lattouf – GM | [email protected]
All I can is WOW! In late August 2012, my husband purchased/financed a vehicle through Mac Churchill. His experience was
less than average however, we needed a car. The finance salesman, Dong The Hong, informed my husband that after 6 good monthly payments, he can do a trade in for another vehicle of his choice. Fast forward to January 12, 2013. My husband and I decided that was the day to trade in our vehicle for a SUV. We made an appointment the night before with Mo and were told paperwork would be ready when we get there. We arrived at Mac Churchill at 9:45am, greeted by a young man (name not relevant and he never disclosed it to us). He asked did we have an appointment, we stated we did with Mo and he rolled his and walked away, leaving us to FIND Mo ourselves. Well, we found Mo who was a bit nervous and seemed out of sorts. He sat us down, had some form of paperwork and began asking questions. We told him what we wanted, how much we wanted to pay and that we have a trade in that we are financing from them now. He thought that was a grand idea but, he didn’t see in his paperwork where we purchased a vehicle from Mac Churchill. He stated it wasn’t an issue and we proceeded outside to look at our car which, he said was kept up nice. The problems began when Mo would not show us the SUVs he told us he had (4 in all in the price range we wanted) the previous night over the phone. Instead, Mo decided HE wanted us to test drive a vehicle that just came in and wasn’t even in the system yet. We did, decided we didn’t want that and we wanted to see those other vehicles. Mo asked a guy in the service department where one of the SUVs were and drove us to it. We loved it! It had a flat tire that Mo said the servicemen would take care of then, we can test drive it and he would then FIND the other 3 SUVs. We agreed, went back in the lobby and waited… and waited, and waited for over an hour. Do you have any idea where Mo went because, his co workers said he was missing in action so, Dong The Hong came to assist us. He first started bashing Mo for his lack of experience and how he didn’t know what he was doing with our paperwork. Dong asked us the same things Mo did, filled out an application and took it to the finance people. Literally 30 seconds later, Dong informed us that he need more money on top of the trade in. We said no. I started asking him questions and he immediately got belligerent. Dong asked me if I was going to make the payments because, if I was, he can do an application for me too. Dong stopped answering any questions I had and asked my husband again if he would give more money. My husband told him he could do $500 and that’s it. Dong laughed and said that wont do anything, we need more so, when can you give us another $500? My husband said maybe in a month. Dong mumbled under his breath that finance wasn’t going for that but,he will submit it to them anyway. He got up and came back in another 15 seconds talking something about my husbands credit score and he had 10 open accounts… IMPOSSIBLE! My husband has a fraud alert that requires certain questions to be answered by my husband, how did they run his credit? When I told Dong that he wasn’t being honest, he said my manager said that if you don’t put down more money, I am to give the customer their keys back and let them leave. At this time guess who found his way back to work? Mo. Dong got up and walked away, Mo sat down and said what happened? I’m so sorry, it’s all my fault I was trying to get the tire fixed and waited an hour until I found out I needed a manager to approve the request. We explained what happened and Dong stood close by with a big smile on his face. I told Dong to come have a seat because, I was talking about him and wanted him to hear. He obeyed. My husband then told Dong that, he told him to come back in 6 months. Dong jumped up out of his seat and said, are you implying I was the one who told you that? My husband said yes I am, it was you. Dong said, on that note, you have a good day, I’m done and he left the building. Mo walked us out and pointed out his manager who came over to speak with us. I told both “men”, I didn’t like the operation of the business, we will never do business with Mac Churchill and our day was wasted. I told the manager we did not complain about Mo being gone for so long (Mo informed us that someone said we were unhappy with him, we did not) however, they were disrespectful and rude and never again would we be back. Mac Churchill needs to go out of business. Point blank. Period.
Tan,
Please make it a point to read “Lemon Aid” on pg. 24 of the Dec/Jan issue of The AARP national magazine, which relates my horrendous experience with this dealership. If you have not already, contact American Honda Motor Customer Service and report your experience to them. I would also suggest that you e-mail Ron Burley (you can find his e-mail on-line), who wrote the AARP article, and tell him your story.
I wish you well in finding the right vehicle at an honorable dealership!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I did exactly as yous said and just sent an email to Ron Burley. I also read your story in AARP, the nerve of them! I’m off to complain to the Honda Motor Customer Service to make a complaint. God bless you, I’ve been angry about this all day.
You are very welcome, and I am so glad that you posted your experience on this review site. I would love to know what response you get from Honda – don’t want to publish my e-mail here, but you can find me on FB, or on the Mac Churchill FB page.
Tan, please accept my sincerest apologies for what took place during your visit. This does not in any way reflect our standards and practice of customer service first. If there is anything that we can do to help amend the situation and demonstrate the value we place upon providing exceptional customer service, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly. I hope to hear from you. Kind regards, Sharbel Lattouf – GM | [email protected]
Let me start by saying I am disgusted by most of the reviews on this site! No offense, but what happened to responsibility?? Held “hostage”,come on! Before you buy ANY car you should have it checked out by your mechanic. You can’t sign a contract, drive home, and come back weeks later wanting something fixed! It is YOUR car, you own it and are responsible for it! Any problems or issues you have with a car should be repaired to your satisfaction BEFORE you sign the contract. If they aren’t then that is YOUR fault not theirs! I have personally purchased several cars from Mac Churchill and have never had a problem. The sales staff has always been honest and upfront and answered all of my questions. The only people that seem to have problems are those that want something for nothing or those that have no idea what they want or how to buy a car. I am really amazed at the number of people that write about how bad the experience is from the beginning, but stay and buy a car anyway. If you are not happy or feel you are being given the runaround LEAVE, WALK OUT, don’t stay and then complain about it!
Angela,
Personal reviews are, of course, subjective. For an objective, unbiased, factual story of one man’s experience with Mac Churchill Acura, read Ron Burley’s article (pg. 24) in the current (Dec/Jan) issue of AARP – The Magazine.
Angela, thanks for your comments. Your experience with our sales staff is a great representation of the customer service that we are proud to stand behind. Don’t hesitate to let us know if there’s anything else we can do for you, and please follow us on Facebook and Twitter! We hope to see you back soon. Kind regards, Sharbel Lattouf – GM | [email protected]
Found a 2001 Honda Oddesey Van on Auto Trader Website and wanted to call to be sure it was still available before driving to dealership. I was told it was still available and they assigned me a confirmation number and appointment with Carlo a few hours later. When we arrived at the dealership no one knew who Carlo was…(should have just left at that point), they made us complete paperwork and financing, etc. before even showing us the vehicle…then when they went to get vehicle they could not find it in the system or locate keys (another bad sign..felt a BAIT CAR situation brewing)…they had 7 different individuals come over to talk with us and discuss options…they ran our credit and came back to try to get us to increase our pricing on another vehicle. We told them (several times) that we had need for a larger vehicle due to fact that we were now raising out 2 small granddaughters(my daughter passed) and our budget was set on what we had discussed with first salesman for the 2001 Honda because of new responsibilities of taking care of the girls. Each new “salesman” that sat with us was trying to get us to look at sedans…we told them over and over that we wanted a VAN. Then someone piped up and advised that the Van was just sold before we had arrived for our appointment. I asked why give me an appointment and confirmation of intent to visit with this “Carlo the Manager” on this specific vehicle on lot if they were not going to have it when we arrived just a few hours later..and why not give us a call to advise the vehicle had been sold since they asked for my phone number and they knew we were driving an hour to get to thier lot??? When I tried to call the number on the ad again 3 times it rang once and then hung up….(guess since they had my phone number, they set it up to hang up on me if I tried to call again…)…checked online the vehicle is still showing available 2 days later, called on another phone line and was told the vehicle was available and they wanted to set up an appointment, same Sales Tactic- THEY ARE BAITING with low priced “MYSTERY” vehicles??? Where are thier ETHICS!?! That place was buzzing with salespersons…we had at least 7 different reps trying to make a deal with us!! None of them were truthful or could provide us with options that they knew originally we had requested….nothing like wasting half a day and coming out feeling like we had been pooped on!
I’m sorry to hear about your experience. While we cannot undo what was done, we only hope the reader understands that it is not unusual for vehicles to be on the lot one hour and gone the next, especially in a high volume dealership like Mac Churchill Acura. Used models do not last long on any dealer’s lot. Notwithstanding, we certainly apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss this situation in further detail. Kind regards, Sharbel Lattouf – GM | [email protected]
Purchased a used vehicle from this dealership. They failed to disclose the problem issues with the vehicle. I had to point out the DTC code and the issue when turning the vehicle hard left or right.
They assured me any problems were covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. I brought the vehicle to the Mitsubishi dealership and the DTC code was for the timing chain. So a major engine component was bad. The Mitsubishi dealership pointed out that one of the wheel studs was broken off. They showed me the maintenance sheet from Mac Churchill which indicated that they replaced 3 tires and did a rotate and balance. That means Mac Churchill knew the wheel stud was broken and did nothing to replace it. Later, I determined that the turning problem was with the transfer case. The fluid was horrible with large amounts of metal indicating, most likely, that the fluid had never been changed. Additionally, Mac Churchill performed some sort of body repair, also undisclosed at sale, which I noticed when I replaced the taillights with aftermarket versions. The rear bumper valence was not properly installed after their repair. I maintained constant contact with John Torres at Mac Churchill, however, he didn’t bother to respond to my last correspondence. Mac Churchill failed at every opportunity to correct their problems. Anyone in the car business knows you don’t offer a vehicle for sale with known trouble code, known safety issues, and then back it up with lousy customer service. The issues with the vehicle should have been corrected prior to being offered for sale. Period.
Adam, thank you for your feedback. On behalf of all of us at Mac Churchill Acura, please allow me to apologize for the negative experience you have described. One hundred percent customer satisfaction is our goal and I’m sorry to hear we fell short of our goal during your visit. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to discuss this matter with you directly so I can address your concerns more specifically and correct any potential flaws on our end. Kind regards, Sharbel Lattouf – GM | [email protected]’
DO NOT purchase a vehicle from this dealership. They are blatantly unethical! My 83 year old father in law recently purchased a Acura from them for %25K over the market value. He is a stroke victem (with all the symptoms) and has significant hearing loss. He went to Mac Churchill by himself and in his words, “ran into a very good salesman”. Mac Churchill Acura is disgusting and immoral.
THESE PEOPLE ARE DISGUSTING!
DO NOT purchase a vehicle from Mac Churchill Acura in Fort Worth!
My 83 year old father and recent stroke victim dropped by Mac Churchill Accra to see what a coupon he received in the mail was worth. Despite his obvious health issues he ran into “a very good salesman” (his words), who sold him a 2009 used Acura MDX for $55,439.42 (actual cost, not including financing). Comparable MDX’s sell for around $30K (even on the Churchill website); new 2012s for around $43K. It’s interesting how the salesman’s name is missing from all of my Dad’s dealership paperwork, and when we called the dealership to ask they couldn’t find his name either.
My sister met with Mr. Churchill to ask him to take the car back, and he refused because he “had a signed contract” (not to mention $25K over market profit). We checked with an attorney who said that dealerships have large legal “banks” that will drag cases out until customers pay more in legal fees than their cases are worth.
We are returning the car to the finance company. Mac Churchill is getting away with scamming $25,000+ out of an 83 year old stroke victim. My Dad also loses his $8,000 down payment, plus takes a hit in his credit rating.
I’ve been a high school teacher for years so I’m making sure all my current and former students, parents, co-worker’s, and Facebook friends know what I think of Mac Churchill Acura and their repulsive, sickening business practices.
STAY AWAY from Mac Churchill Acura!!!!!
I read the peice that is in AARP about your dad and Mac Churchill Acura, they sound like a bunch of crooks, I will never buy from them….
I’m so to hear this. I really wish i had read this review before i purchased the TLX from them last month. Bunch of liars, yes sickening business practices!!
Do not ever, ever, ever purchase a vehicle from Mac Churchill Acura in Fort Worth! My dad was not ready to buy, but he ran into “a very good salesman” (his words), who sold him a 2009 used Acura MDX for $55,439.42 (not including cost of financing). Comparable MDX’s sell for around $30K (even on the Churchill website); new 2012s for around $43K. I met with Mr. Churchill to ask him to accept the car back, and he refused because he “had a signed contract” (not to mention $25K over market profit). I talked with an attorney who said that dealerships have large legal “banks” who will drag cases out until customers pay more in legal fees than their cases are worth. So, we are returning the car to the finance company. Mac Churchill gets away with scamming thousands of dollars out of an 83 year old man, and Dad loses his $8000 down payment, his excellent credit rating, and his pride. Stay away from Mac Churchill Acura!!!!!
Last Saturday my sister and I purchased a vehicle from MacChurchill and were content with both the deal and the vehicle. My quarrel is with the finance department, which is why Mac Churchill is getting only one star. Yesterday (Almost a week later after the deal was signed!) I found out that the APR we were “pre-approved” for over the weekend had changed and caused our APR to jump from 5.1 to 8.7%! Although my little sister who has never dealt with purchasing a vehicle came in and signed the new deal yesterday, when I got wind that we loose the GAP insurance and 54 mo extended warranty with the SAME monthly payments + 3 additional months (63 mo) I thought MacChurchill would either reconsider, restructure the deal, find her a different car, or let us back out of the deal since it was less than 24 hours of finding out this new bogus APR. I WAS WRONG!! ALL THEY DID WAS SAY TOO BAD!!!! We got our money so its yours now. Armando, the “sales manager” is extremely RUDE, ARROGANT and truly does not care about anything except for telling me “AS FAR AS WE ARE CONCERNED ITS YOUR CAR AND THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO”. Didnt even offer a solution!!! Even when presenting this to the finance director he did nothing and said “SORRY CANT DO ANYTHING”!!! “ITS ONLY 3 EXTRA MONTHS SHE IS PAYING” !! MacChurchill, that is not the POINT!! It was less than 24 hours since she signed, and didn’t even help!! IF ONE OF THE WAYS YOU DO BUSINESS IS BY QUICKLY GETTING A INEXPERIENCED YOUNG TIMID GIRL TO SIGN A DEAL THAT IS MUCH WORSE FOR HER as far as I am concerned all you care about is making a profit at anyone’s expense. You couldn’t even offer her an alternative or let her purchase a different car?!?! Neither I or my family will EVER be back and will NEVER recommend anyone to the likes of you. I’m glad Acura doesn’t make cars like MacChurchill cares about their customers, because they would be out of business!!!
Justin, on behalf of Mac Churchill Acura, I would like to offer my genuine apologies to you and your sister for your experience at our dealership. We take customer satisfaction very seriously and it is unfortunate that we were unable to deliver the standard of service that you deserve. Please contact me at your earliest convenience so that I may discuss your visit with us directly and better understand the situation. Kind regards, Sharbel Lattouf – GM | [email protected]

I purchased a new Acura TL Advanced aboput a month ago. What a great car and what a great experience that I had during the purchase. All my questions were answered and the cost was just about what I expected. Dealer prep and explanation of the features were outstanding. I recently had it in for its first servicing and it was ready in a very short time–all washed and vacuumed. A truly great dealership!
Also, this is the fifth car I have bought from Mr Churchill. Customer loyalty is normally rewarded with good/great customer service. However, Mac Churchill’s customer service has alsways been great.
I want to thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our dealership. We are proud to have such a great sales team who listen to our customers’ needs and provide excellent service day in and day out. We hope you are enjoying your Acura and if you ever have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us. How uncanny that all these random Customers came to this website at the same time to give this dealership a high rating. I completely believe that these are real customers that purchased a car at Mac Churchill and not employees artificially boosting the dealer rating.
… and I completely believe some of the bad reviews aren’t other car dealers trying to drag down Churchill’s ratings!
Both of us are probably just being sarcastic, but I’ll assure you I’m a real customer and not a shill.
Thank you for taking the time to rate us. I can guarantee you that the comments you see reflect our genuine customers and guests. We take customer satisfaction very seriously, and if we have in any way fallen short of this goal with you, please contact me so that I may discuss your visit with us directly and better understand the details of the situation. I would love the opportunity to address and resolve your concerns. I look forward to speaking with you. Kind regards, Sharbel Lattouf – GM | [email protected]

This is the third Acura for me. Two were purchased from Mac Churchill. We have been extremely pleased with the purchases and follow up with us to find out if we need any other services with our car.
Any time I have been in the service department even for the simpliest problem I could have not been more satisfied.

I don’t understand the negative reviews, except to say that people who are mad about something (or at themselves) are always the ones who rush to complain publicly to make themselves feel better.
My wife and I have bought a total of 7 vehicles from Churchill over the past few years, and our experiences have always been top notch. And it’s not because we’re “easy marks”. To the contrary, we are informed buyers and know going in what a car is worth and what we’re willing to pay.
I think that’s the key here, as with any major purchase – if you do your homework you will have a smoother and happier buying experience. Just as with any business, not everyone at Churchill is a superstar, but there are plenty of competent people there who will work with you and make you happy. And if you don’t find what you want, don’t take it out on them – just say no and go somewhere else. It’s a business decision and it’s your choice.
Our choice is to continue to deal with Churchill Acura, because they’ve demonstrated they’re professional and reasonable, and they do what they say.

Dung was the best. He went out of his way to make sure he got me into a car. My credit is not good, but he got me into a car with no down payment and paid off my old one, plus my payments are $100 cheaper than what they were. I highly recommend salesman. Super nice guy.
Thanks for the fantastic feedback! Dung is a valuable member of our team, and he always strives to give our customers the highest level of service every time they pay our dealership a visit. Please contact us if we can be of help in any way, and be sure to check us out on Facebook and Twitter. Kind regards, Sharbel Lattouf – GM | [email protected]
I should have read all of the NEGATIVE reviews on these shiesty salesman before EVER stepping foot in this dealership. They are LIARS and crooks. I got a bad vibe from David Diamond right off the bat. My husband and I specifically told them we had outside financing, and they had us sign some “back up contract,” in case the financing fell through. I asked David Diamond multiple (at least 3) times if they were going to run our credit. Each time he said “NO.” Guess what? They obviously didn’t know our credit is monitored, because 45 minutes after leaving the dealershiT we both received emails stating that they had ran our credit. They knew we had outside financing. They lost our contract on that alone. They can take their “back up contract” and stick it where the sun doesn’t shine. Of course by the time we received the email the dealership was closed. When I called David Nguyen’s cell phone and asked if they ran our credit, his reply was “I don’t know.” Shouldn’t the salesman know if they run your credit? Steer clear of these typical, lying car salesman. I will be contacting the general manager of the dealership tomorrow.
Amber, on behalf of all of us at Mac Churchill Acura, please allow me to apologize for your experience at our dealership. I can guarantee you that we truly care about our customers and I would like the opportunity to address and resolve your concerns. Please contact me at your earliest convenience. I hope to hear from you soon. Kind regards, Sharbel Lattouf – GM | [email protected]
Worst experience of my life. I will never set foot in that place again. Love the car, but ended up paying more than I wanted due to confusing sales tactics, focus on monthly payments, belittlement, and overall rudeness. I hate this place with a passion and feel like I my lack of knowledge was severely taken advantage of.
I would like to extend my most sincere apologies to you for the negative experience you had while visiting our store. We never want our customers to feel disrespected or taken advantage of. If you are available at any point during the day, I would like to speak with you about this in further detail. Kind regards, Sharbel Lattouf | [email protected]
Where do I start? I went to this dealership and the first question that was asked was : If I found a car I liked, was I ready to buy tonight? I said that the car would need to be right, but that I would be willing to deal that night.
I came in to look at a couple of specific cars. Neither were still available. David D said that he thought the Focus was still on the lot and he could see what we could do to get closer to my available budget. We took a test drive and I expressed my concerns with the car. He assured me that we could get “those things” corrected as part of the deal or maybe make an allowance on the deal for some of the minor issues. As we went through the car wash (he said it had not even been processed fully yet) the Passenger side mirror fell off. “That’s just a few dollars at the junk yard. I was OK with that because I have worked on cars before. The radio didn’t work. can fix that not a problem. These are minor things. The inspection sticker was out. We could make it passing a contingency of purchase. He worked out a deal on paper for the amount I said I could do including TTL and then took it to his sales manager. Suddenly, they had advertised it wrong on their web site and could sell it for a lot more. They would “do me a favor” and took the price down by $195 from the price they had using an “internet special” discount. The Salesman said he would help me get the car home since I am a single mom as part of the deal. He also said that I could stop by there at any time and get a wash from their service department. They needed $1500 to hold the car so I allowed them to pull it on my credit card.
I got the call the next day that it passed inspection with flying colors and to bring the balance by and we would finish the deal. When I got there, I had to wait for the Salesperson, then I got shuffeld around from person to person. Each one trying to sell me something else. I told them (more than once) that I didn’t have anymore money to spend on the car. When I finally got to the guy I give the money to, he got the message, but the attitude changed. I was no longer a valued customer. I was someone taking a used car off their hands. I asked David if the key was one that had the chip in it, or if I could go to the store and get copies. He told me that I could just go get copies of the key made. “Have the store check to see if it has the chip.” David said that it would be a couple of hours before he could help me home (and I’d still need to bring him back)and why didn’t I just secure my van at the site. I said that I didn’t want to do that. He then said that I could call and have it towed home. He had 2 people wanting to purchase new Acuras. I have AAA and it didn’t seem like a big deal until the next night.
On my way home from work, I had stopped to pick up some items from a store and stopped at Autozone to see if they did Keys for this type of car. They do not, so as I pulled out to leave, the car shut down in the middle of driving. The young man came out and checked the battery, and hooked it up to the machine that checks things. He couldn’t find out why. When it shut down, it wasn’t like a started or altenator going out, in this case all of the dash would not come on and it would not even make a click (like a bad starter). When I called the dealership back and told them that I had it less than 24 hours, they said “oh well, you bought a used car”
I will not ever recommend Mac Churchill to ANYONE ever. I had the car towed by my regular mechanic to his shop and he is checking it out.
I’m literally kicking myself right now for not having done my research on Mac Churchill Acura before I visited them this weekend. Everything I’m reading here is consistent with the experience I had with them. Has anyone of you that has written a review filed a complaint with the Attorney General’s office? I plan on doing so tomorrow after a lawyer I spoke with recommended that I do so, and I hope everyone else has also done so. This place is managed/ owned by a bunch of crooks.
Thank you for bringing your experience to our attention. On behalf of all of us at Mac Churchill, I want to apologize for the less than exceptional experience you have described. If you would be so kind as to contact me at your convenience, I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this with you personally. Kind regards, Sharbel Lattouf | [email protected]
On behalf of Mac Churchill Acura, I want to extend my apologies for your experience at our dealership. Customer service is a top priority and the I’m sorry to hear that we fell short of our usual standards during your visit. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to discuss this matter with you directly so I can address your concerns more specifically. Kind regards, Sharbel Lattouf | [email protected]
Sharbel,
Maybe you should review your staff instead of spending all of your time on here using your generic apology on everyone. Haven’t you seen all of the negative reviews that Mac Churchill is getting. I wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemy. You guys are a bunch of crooks and lying, shady salesman. I wouldn’t buy a $5 car from this dealership.
I had received pre-approval from a bank and was looking for a used car, when i found one I liked i ad reached out to them. I was put in touch with Mike West who told me they could get me approved for a higher amount at a lower interest rate, so allowed them to go forward witht hat effort. I went in on a Saturday and met with the two sales rep’s who were young knowledgable, and eager. they were a positive part of the experience. Like others it did take some time to get them to help, but it was very busy. I explained I had already supplied all of the reuqested information asked what amount I had been approved for and what the rate came in at. They explained I need to select a car first. Once picked the distaster began. Received the first deal, with a rate 3% high then I had been told on the phone, down payment was over, payment was off, and no discount off sticker was given. Sent it back and Met one of the lead finance guys Mo. He presented a new deal, and pushed for me to take the car home that night. I declined and explained that I didn’t have my trade in with me and would not take posession of the car until I know the deal was done and final final. Even if that took two weeks. He did come back with an amazing deal, rate was still high, but price was way below book value (had my ipad and reviewing data while I was there), no down was required and negative equity on my trade in was gone. Truly this was to good to be true. i explained I had to leave and get my son home and that we could finalize the deal when they heard back from the bank on Monday. Monday came and I spent 3 hours on the phone, only to find out the amazing deal was still good, but had been updated without my knowledge to remove the warrenty and gap which I had requested. Price also started to waiver. After feeling like i was being taken for a fool, and eviewing all of the numbers with them I pointed out extensive in consistancies and questions how they could make such a good offer and still make money. I was told by Mike they had worked very hard on the deal and the ealership was actually taking a $2,800 loss on the deal to ensure the deal. As I was no feeling very confirtable I reached out to another dealership I had contacted prior, who when I told them of my offer, said I needed to jump on it. When I called Mike West at Mac Churchill back he told me as I had reached out to another dealership and his finance company (when I asked for the company name he supplied a lender I had never heard of) had been notified my credit was pulled the deal had been withdrawn. I think there are some good people working there, though not sure at the Sr and finance level they are at all honest not that they lied, they just chose not to mention or bring up if not asked and when asked got very defensive. When looking at what is reflected on the site, I thank god the deal fell through, and I have found a great dealership else where to deal with. Thing I have learned when asked for your license have a copy of it that you give the dealership, don’t ever give them your actual card. Learned that many years ago when I got held hostage and have never had an issue with it o pushed for the real license. Do plenty of research before you go in, never plan to sign the day you look at the car so you have time to review the offer very closely at home, always set a time limit. I had one going in and when pushed to stay I said no and walked out. Lastly if it is to good to be true it probaby is.
Lori, we are sorry to hear about your poor experience. Anything less than 100% customer satisfaction is unacceptable for our standards and I’d like the chance to show you this value. If you would be so kind as to contact me at your convenience, I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this with you personally. Kind regards, Sharbel Lattouf | [email protected]
I don’t know how they treat the new car customers but here is how my used car purchase went. Used car sleazeman John Torres always put me off when asked to produce the carfax. Afterwards we found evidence the vehicle was involved in a significant crash. The repairs were substandard. Also had a bad battery (leaking from top)that was supposed to be replaced before the purchase, it wasn’t. Called and compalined to John and when he didn;t respond, called his manager. No response from either. They also scam you after the sale with advertisements that claim that they can get you a better finance rate, which is just a bulk mailing to existing customers that appears to be specific to you, as if it’s already approved. If you’re looking for a used car better keep on looking.
A huge waste of time . They will call , text, and email you to death withy promises of great cars ,great rates, and great prices. Here is the truth. Every car on this lot that i looked at was 4,000.00 above book value. Since book value is not as accurate so i started looking at the same make, year, miles, and model of Acura TL in the area. Mac Churchill was 3000 above Vandergriff across the board. Carmax was 2000 cheaper on an 08 TL.Anyways i finally went in to the dealership after literally 30 calls to me and my wife. I was kinda in the market so i figured what could it hurt. They held me hostage because they kept saying we are so busy that we are just a little backed up on getting cars looked at. Funny thing is as soon as i picked out a car i liked the salesman instantly knew how much they would give me for my car. Why? Because he was the appraiser. He slipped up and said so the next day when i came in to finish the paperwork. Autotrader offered 9500 for my car on trade in. Mac Churchill offered me 5000 for an 2006 VW Passat 61000 miles. I should have walked right then. We pick out a car 5 hours later as it was close to midnight at this point and then i go see the finance mgr armando. well after going around, and around, and around explaining that i do no want an extended warranty he says ok. I look at the buyers order and guess what ? He has added Gap insurance and extended warranty after we just spent the last 15 minutes discussing that i didn’t want it. He finsihes the paperwork for the 4th time and finally gets it right as to what was agreed. And i leave with the car. The only left to do was bring my wife in and she could sign her part and give them a dn pmt . My wife and i arrange for a sitter and stop back by the dealer the next day right work. The dealership was promising it will only take a couple minutes for her to sign since the deal is done. WRONG ! I walk in and let them know i am there to see Armando. I immediately notice Armando as i walked in the dealership. I see the salesman walk over and give him the message that i am there. He nods and then proceeds to goof off for the next 20 minutes in the finance mgr’s office. He finally gets tired of goofing off with ray and comes to see us. he says it will be just a minute and then leaves again. Another 20 minutes passes by and another guy comes in named Micahel West. This guy was rude and disrespectful from the start so by now i have figured out that there is probably going to be some bullcorn about the deal that was agreed upon. I am also mentally preparing myself so i dont explode and i know when my wife figures out that they have wasted her time she is going to lose it. Anyway Micheal west tells me that the pmt is going to have to go up a hundred bucks and the interest rate will have to go up 5%. he rambles on about its not that big of a deal and the lame line they car sales man always give you and says you can always make extra pmt. Well now since i have been lied to i am dug in simply for the fact that i had already signed my paperwork. Well Michael West says ok we will get the deal done at what was promised just give him 4 more mintes. Well another 15 minutes of my life goes by and he comes back with an even worse deal and then he gets mad at us because we wont accept that deal. I am completely done and i am using my iphone to find a bailbondman because i am starting to get concerned for their safety. I explained to these people atleast 10 times that i need my keys back and to leave me alone. I live with constant pain 24 hrs a day 7 days a week as i am a disabled vet. This guy was laughing that i am a disabled vet. What kind of american citizen thinks its funny that our troops get wounded and have to live with lifelong illnesses from serving their country ? Michael West thinks its hilarious that i was limping around his dealership. Long story short if you go to this dealership the only thing that you can count on is that it will take a long time to get screwed over.
:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
When I got there I was left alone more than I was spoken to. However I liked the car I was shown. We were able to agree on a deal. I traded my car in, paid my down, signed the proper paperwork and left in a new car. 6 days later Henry my salesman calls asking me to bring a few more things. So I take part of the day of work to bring it to them. Keep in mind I have signed ALL my paperwork and I changed over my insurance. They then tell me because I am self employed, which they new from the start, that I am going to need a co-signer. I went home in my old car almost a week after signing my note. Im sure there great if you are an easy sale but if you have bumps to over come you are treated like yesterdays trash!
I have been working with this Mac Churchill Acura dealership in Ft. Worth, TX. These guys are incompetent. I have had a popping noise followed by a succession of clicking noise. The noise is so back it pumps underneath the accelerator. I first reported this problem within a few months of having the vehicle-less than 3000 miles. The service department was unable to reproduce the noise, therefore said they could not fix what they could not find. They had me document when the noise occurred and how frequently. Several months went by with a few more follow up visits. The Acura MDX will make this noise at lower speeds and during the first cycle the car goes through. I was able to replicate the problem every time if they conditions are the same. Mac Churchill now had the data that they made me obtain to be able to fix the car and did everything they could to change the conditions in which the problem would occur. I had to park the vehicle at the dealership but I kept the keys. I went to the dealership the next morning to drive with a regional representative and we were able to replicate the problem. The rep said it was the ac compressor. I told him the noise persists with the AC off. He insisted that I have a nice car and tried to sell me on the idea that there wasn’t a problem. He did not know what the noise was. I said the shop thought it was the ABS system. He then said that was what it was. When we got back to the shop this rep had the service advisor write up that every noise is normal car performing per acura standard. He never diagnosed what the problem was. They had me research this problem for 8 months in order to fix it. They said they have known all along what the noise was. It is the abs module and even if they replaced it does not mean the new one will not perform in the same manner. The service manager Casey Pollard and this representative are incompetent. They allowed me to leave without diagnosing the problem. The acura rep would not document the facts of the test drive and told me to seek legal counsel in order to resolve this. When he said that, I asked if there was a known safety issue with the abs braking system and they both laughed. I attempted to resolve this issue in good faith. I have never meet a more unprofessional team. This is the service department and should have the expertise to be able to diagnose and fix a problem. They told me that Acura builds these vehicle to pop and click down the road. This is in every other vehicle. I have never experieced it ever in all the vehicles I have driven. I would not recommend Mac Churchill Acura to anyone. Highly unprofessional and incompetent.
They sold us the car after we gave them a down payment, then when I brought the car back for service 5 days later they said that the “bank” wanted more money down and I would have to come up with the money. The car was financed through my bank so I called them. They said they finalized the loan and DID NOT tell Mac Churchill to get more money from us. They just did not want to fix the car!!
Dont buy from these con artists.:(
BRIAN BROWN was the reason we bought our New 2009 TL from Mac Churchill Acura!! Contrary to our experiences at Goodson and Vandergriff, my Wife and I were treated with Respect and Honesty by everyone at Mac Churchill Acura.
Brian made the entire buying process as easy and smooth as possible. We enjoyed the low key and educational style of Jeff Higy, the Finance Manager. Mr. Mac, the Owner, introduced himself to us on our arrival, and continued to check back to see that we were being treated properly through the entire buying process.
In the past few years, we have purchased 2 New Acura’s from Vandergriff, but we will not buy from them again!! We attempted to buy our 3rd Acura from Vandergriff, but were treated with total disrespect!! The General Manager and Sales Manager put no value on our long standing relationship, and the fact that we brought all our Acuras to them for Service work.
I had been shopping for nearly a week before I settled on Acura. I found the perfect car and made the mistake of going to the dealership closest to my house first. I had a TERRIBLE experience there which I’m going to avoid talking about here so we can focus on how it got set right.
I worked with Brian Brown to set up a test drive of the car I wanted and he got me not only that, but another trim level for me to consider side by side, both in exactly the colors I wanted. When I showed up, he was nothing but helpful and let me drive the cars in exactly the way I wanted to. There was no pressure to end the test drive early. I knew what I wanted, and Brian was good enough to respect that. Haggling was minimal and we came to a fair price both for the car and my trade-in almost immediately. There were none of the usual shenanigans about massaging the numbers or how much I would be willing to pay. Just a good price as competitive as any in the area.
Finance office was terrific – nothing painful other than the feeling of more debt 🙂 No tricks there either. They had the new car ready to go in no time flat.
I’ve never had such a smooth dealer experience before, but I hope I have one like it again when it’s time for my next ride. These guys were terrific and you owe them some serious consideration. Personally, I couldn’t be happier.
Someone asked if my bad experience was at Churchill. No – absolutely not. It was a dealer in Arlington. The team I dealt with at Mac Churchill I have nothing but good things to report on.
