During the "Cash for Clunkers Incentive Program" Le Mieux Toyota signed contracts with at least 50 (that I am aware of) customers for new cars. They took our down payments, and agreed to submit the paperwork to the government for the incentive. One week later a message on my answering machine informs me that they have decided "not to participate in the program and that I need to pay an additional $4,500 for my Carolla". They never sent in the paperwork, claiming it was "too complicated". What a mess. If I had the extra money I would not have jumped through hoops to get this deal in the first place. They put on the pressure from the start, telling me that I needed to buy on the first day of the clunkers program (which I did) because the money would run out. Then they were unethical, rude and only concerned about getting even more money!
