My 76 year old aunt and her handicapped son purchased a Kia from Joe Myers Kia two years ago. She was looking for just basic transportation - She's elderly and they took advantage of her. They charged her sticker price and talked her into financing the car at 14% interest over six years (her credit score was 730) - At the last minute they added two thousand dollars to the price "to make sure she was approved," She was tired and confused. Today she went back to trade it in on a little bigger vehicle and they were going to charge her 18% interest over six years and again at sticker price. Thank goodness she called me before she signed the contract. Joe Myers dealerships obviously prey on the weak - Be warned.
These guys pulled the ultimate scam on me. A cause for the problem I was having with my car could not be found until.. that's right, the warranty ran out. I took it to Joe Myers 4 times before it ran out.. nothing. I took it once after it ran out and BOOM!, a $400 fix. I tried to talk to them about it.. and they could have cared less. That goes for Toyota Headquarters too. My car has 50,000 on it and has been repaired 6 times. Toyota quality?? What a joke. I bought my car there too.. huge mistake since they replaced my front windshield before I bought it and did it wrong. Now I have rust. Once again, when I talked to them about it, they didn't give a cr*p. All they care about is getting you to buy their overpriced maintenance services. I wouldn't go there to buy a quart of oil.

These people should pay attention b/c people really are sick of the car salesman routine, love and kisses until you sign on the dotted line and then... "Who are you?" I was going to buy a car w cash this weekend, possibly from these guys, but NOT after reading your scathing review! It seems to me that word of mouth should be more important, especially when the car industry is doing so terribly.Kelli Toombs
