These guys are here to rip people off. They first tried to sell me a lemon without stating the fact. I realized it was a lemon during the financing part. Then when I started yelling they tried to calm me down by giving me a new truck at a discount. After spending 7 hours at the store, they had a hard time financing me so they started making up numbers, the finance manager Max told me to tell the banks that I was malking 19,000 per month, this is the only way they could financ me. When I told them that I would not do it they strarted to threaten me. I've been driving my truck now for 10 days and they have not paid off my trade or financed the new one. When I call them they do not answer the phone. These guys are complete rip off artists.

Beware of Management Practices at Huntington Beach Ford. I will be posting a much more detailed Comment within the next few days on this Forum. I am in the process of writing a detailed letter to the Owner of this Dealership in hopes that he addresses some unethical practices that I discovered. It may be that the Owner is completly unaware of what type of issues are going on in Huntington Beach Ford. Please look for my next comment once I contact the Owner. They do in fact, have the lowest advertized price on Trucks, but Beware!

Absolutely the worst dealership ever.

I just graduated from college and I wanted to start out. They advertised a 2010 Mustang for 16900 in the paper and naturally I called about it. I talked to someone named McCarther - and he informed me that the dealership still had the loss-leader. I test drove the Mustang and I was pretty enamored. Everyone was extremely friendly and I told them I had my own financing. Of course they said it was fine - initially... and then the deception, lies, and horror began.

I began signing papers and and as I was they informed me I was no longer eligible for the discounts because I had my own financing. In order to acquire the cars for "cheap" you have to finance through FMCC (Ford Motor Credit Corporation). According to the dealership, the only way I could receive the discount was if I financed through FMCC for only 3 months and then use my own financing... I bought the story so I continued through with the transaction. Then they took me back to the finance officer and he asked me what color the car was. I said "black" and he said, "GREAT! That comes with the paint sealant on both the interior and exterior. Because we're by the beach we have to seal all our cars and protect from seawater and birdpoop." I laughed and then he continued that because they couldn't remove it would be an additional $700... Is that a joke?

The advertised price in the paper was $16990. They included in fine print, however (it took then 10 minutes to find the fine print on the paper) that the price was still subject to dealer change. They then explained to me what a loss leader was and how they were losing money. I said that's it and walked out of the dealership. They chased after me yelling at me asking what happened. I told them they were trying to rip me off.

Note: Before this I disclosed that I did not want my monthly payments more than $400.

The guy said that even with the additional $700, my monthly payments would still be below $400. He then continued on it's not even about the money, is it?

I replied it's about integrity. Grow some balls and be able to honor your advertisements.

This dealership is very devious. They will try to take your money from right under your nose. The 3 month lock in with the FMCC is FALSE and you WILL NOT GET THE DISCOUNTS. DO NOT TRUST THESE LIARS.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. They'll fudge the numbers and write over their numbers until you say OK. I spent 5 hours waiting for a car only to walk away. 5 HOURS... 5 hours of being passed forth between person to person like it was a sick game they were playing.

Sincerely,

A very pissed off HONEST person.

Huntington Beach Ford engages in misleading and manipulative business practices, and exploits trusting and vulnerable customers.I am a 71 year old retired worker who just happened to be looking for a replacement for his '97 TBird on 5July2009.After taking a test drive with a friendly and affable young man named Jevon Piper at HBF, I was introduced to a Mr. Kaya. He would not give me his last name.I negotiated with Mr. K to purchase the 2009 Escape I picked out arriving at a price of approximately $23,800.00 out the door, cash deal.I made a down payment based on his apparent verbal agreement that this was accepted by the "decider".I do not know if Mr. Kaya was actually getting approval during the price adjustments that we discussed on the showroom floor or even talking about how I wanted to pay for the vehicle to anyone in the back office. But he would disappear and return from time to time continuing to apparently negotiate the deal. Finally we moved to the finance office and there I encountered a Mr. Beyikian ,finance manager, who presented me with a loan contract containing GAP insurance and extended warranty plans which added up to a net price some $4000.00 higher than what I had agreed to just moments ago.To say I was stunned is putting it mildly. When I expressed my inability to sign such a contract, I was told this is how the discount is obtained. There is a provision in the loan agreement that provided for a reimbursement if I make a minimum of 3 payments on the loan.I could they payoff the balance, cancel the optional GAP and warranty plans in a couple months, pay only only a small fee of about $50 to effect the reimbursement.I tried to read in the contract and find these provisions containted therein but could not.I stated I was very uncomfortable with this arrangement but instead of dealing with my apprehension they displayed annoyance with my reluctance to accept their explanation.Neither Mr. Kaya or Mr. Beyikian were helpful in providing how the details in the contract would benefit me with regards to the original offer but repeatedly told me that if I wanted the discount, I had to sign the contract.I was now under considerable stress, having made a down payment of $1240 and feeling very uncomfortable with the progress thus far.I never asked for a loan and didn't want one.I can only assume Mr. Beyikian ignored my original request for a cash transaction intentionly to make it difficult for me to follow and presented this more involved and complex deal to nullify my bid price and obtain a better outcome for himself and HTF.I made the mistake of trusting that what I was being told was the truth. The next morning when I tried to contact Mr. Beyikian and was told he was not in. I talked to Mr. Ryan Smith and asked for help in understanding the net cost of the contract I signed the previous day.He confirmed what I had suspected.I would not be getting the discount I thought I had agreement with Mr.Kaya originally, and indeed I now realized I was mislead as to the effect of taking out the loan and optional GAP and warranty Plans. And to add insult to injury it will take 2-3 months before the premiums from the cancelled plans are reimbursed to me.
I consider my treatment at HBF well below average and will never deal with these again.I present my experience as an example of how they deal with people like me.You can be the judge as to whether this dealership does what every dealer does to maximize profit, or do they balance self interest with the needs of the customer to achieve a win/win outcome.Mr Omar Z, HBF General Manager includes in his " thanks for choosing HBF" letter just above his signature line the caption , "Your satisfaction is our highest priority". In this case I believe HBF missed the mark.

RESOLVED REVIEW:
This dealership is very willing to work with you. The prices on the used cars and truck are priced well.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
MessageThis is the worst Ford dealership ever!!!! If your going to buy a Ford don't buy HERE!!! please. I purchased a used 2006 F-350 on March 22,2009. I been waiting for my registration to arrive so I could refinance my loan to a lower rate. I called the DMV to find out where my registration was. They told me the truck was Non Operational, and I should not be driving it. On May 5th I received my plates and registration. Also I got a registration bill for May 2009-2010 for $730. I paid the registration when I bought the truck I paid $586. When a vehicle is on Non Operational you have to pay the whole years registration to activate it again. I paid for the dealership to have it on Non operational. This is a SCAM!!!! I paid $586 to drive my truck for a month in a half, what a joke. This dealership is not into customer service, they wont return calls. I have left tons. PLEASE DON'T BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP.

I was about to purchase a F-250 King Ranch Edition truck when I had several questions about the pricing. First Internet Pricing is less than what they will sell it to you for. They told me they haven't updated their site lately and those were previous sales pricing. Second all of their used vehicles are *(repaired)* LEMONS. They want Kelly Blue Book Value for a vehicle with a BAD TITLE. On top of that they will offer you $5,000 less than trade in Value for your vehicle. If you wak out of their deal, they will curse at you and voice threats for wasting their time and that you will pay for it. NEVER BUY FROM THIS DEALER

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALER. You can get the same deal at your local(trusted) dealership if you tell them you want a Ford Buy Back/repaired Lemon. And the local dealer will give you the trade in value for your vehicle

They forced a $1,600 "surface protection plan" onto me without me know it. The person who handles the final paperwork (Steve) was very deceptive and corrupt. The managers were belligerent towards me when I protested.

This was, by far, the most corrupt business transaction I've ever experienced.
