Sorry, didn't post my issue when I initially did the reviewBasically, Honolulu Ford has had my vehicle for 34 days now. I made a service appt. 3 days prior to have recall work done and was told that the part(s) to complete the repair were in stock and that I would be able to wait while repairs were done, appox. 1 1/2 hours.
Showed up on the appointment day and had the vehicle written up, I informed the service advisor that I would wait for the vehicle
Eighty minutes later I am told that the part needed to complete the recall is, in fact, not in stock and that I would need to reschedule another appt.
I questioned the advisor as to why the part(s) were not placed on hold for my appt. her response was " we don't do that"
Does this dealership think that customers have nothing better to do with their time? Are they willing to reimburse me for lost pay?
Logic would dictate that if I were to take time off from my schedule that the very least the parts would be on hand for the appointed date?
Is it any wonder that with service reception like this that the American Auto Industry is in dire straits?
My next new vehicle will not be American manufactured, certainly not a Ford !
