My friend Nancy Davis was with me and was so impressed that the car that was $23,740 went down with rebates, and my trade in to 15,540 with my payments only being 333.00 if we add costs of paint and fabric protect nothing was said about my gap insurance cost or priority club cost or I would not have done the deal. Andy had the young man at the desk next to him bring their warrantee big poster bring it to me. Andy ran through the list of what was covered and he stated the Oliver C Joseph would not give all the services to me so I took the bait he wrote on a piece of plain paper the first contract. 23740 minus 4200 trade equals 19,540 minus 4000 rebates equals 15540 with 0 down 72 months 6.59% only 326.38 then he asked if I wanted seat protection and paint I said yes he changed payments to 333.00 a month. At the bottom of the page he had written gap and priority club with nothing next to them which made me think they were thrown in as I thought from our conversation. I did not know I was being charged anything at all for other than the paint and fabric. The deal was done and I signed that paper and he took it back to a man named Justin Lombard. It took less than 10- minutes. He took us back to Justine and the papers put in front of me being turned over one after the other pointing at where I was to sign. Then they were all torn apart and he kept his copies and my copies were curled up ad placed in a envelope and given to me with one set of keys. All of this was done within 20 minutes including Justin Lombard not any of the papers I was signing at all were discussed with me. Nancy and I when into his room and signed the pages one right after another without conversation as to what I was signing. He just slipped them into the envelop and sent me on my way. I now wonder if that was legal??
When I realize Sunday what I signed & I went up to see him. Justin said it was my car and I had no chance to change things. You walk off our lot it is yours so live with it. I called Nancy and she verified for me that Andy had said the warranty was part of the deal and he said that was a lie. Linda not one person here can throw in a warrantee. I told him I could have had a Dodge Journey with a lot more features and better warrantee for free. Face it they will be out of business so what good will Oliver C Joseph be. I told him,” My brother is right I am an idiot doing business with you people again after the last time I was treated with disrespect.” Well your brother is just right about one thing is your if bought a dodge you would have been stupid they will be out to business in two in two years from now so what is important about a warrantee when no one will be there to fix your car and parts won’t be available. He also proved you can’t read without him here to read for you. I guess your can’t make a your own choices in life without his okay. Does he make every judgment call for you call for you. I wish I would be able just to jump in my old car and drive off I have really gotten taken for a ride. He speaking of that we are the ones who got taken for a ride we only got 3,7000.00 and gave you 4,200 for your car. Why don’t you face it the car is yours. He told me to come back and talk to Andy but he will tell you the same thing. When I asked about why I was signed up for insurance I did not ask for it was because of my having bad insurance he said and the fact they wanted to make sure they got their moneys for their car. He then said the loan company wanted it that way. I told him that was illegal he said I signed the paper so I am guilty of wanting it.
I called the loan company Scott Credit Union and they told me to drop it and see them if I thought I needed it since their’s was cheaper and they did not insist I get insurance as was told me by Andy and Justin. I went up to drop the insurance. When I dropped the insurance he said I hate to see your car totaled out and you have no car to drive and you will be without a vehicle and still having to pay us. He handed me a paper to sign that said changed her mind since I did not know I signed for it I crossed that off and wrote did not know she was signed up for it. He called me a smart A and stopped because my brother was then in the room with me by then. I would like my moneys back on the warrantee as well as an apology for all the being talked down to by the man Justin Lombard. I would have rather had the Dodge car since the deal was so badly done to me, by Andy who was so upset by the first man who talked down to my brother on the first car I bought from them. I can not believe he would do the same to me or allow it to be done to me. There is not a part of me that thinks I was not lied to and treated unfairly. Andy promised to beat the other dealers deal and I told him of the free package deal from Oliver C Joseph. He knows I a retired Librarian I pay 684 of 14440. Per month to insurance so he know I have house payment of 550.00 and I counsel people by appointment only so he does know I deal with set amount of moneys only. When my brother and I talked to Andy he did show us the piece of paper with the 15,540 on it and he did admit no where on there did he say that he put I had to pay for the gap or priority, but I should know it by it being put at the bottom of the sheet next to the monthly payment amount. Please help me or advise me as to what to do to correct this injustice done to me. I thought that Andy would give me the warrantee for free yet he had been talked to by the other man and was nervous I will never get the deal on the warrantee I was promised. I told Andy that I tired to return my car days before the week was up when my brother and I came in to talk to him together to get credit and the warrantee free. This dealership does not respect the people they only want a sale and the fact they talk about other dealers going out of business is not proper.

I went to this dealership on a Tuesday night. Wanted to trade in my Hyundai Elantra for a newer Elantra. Salesperson was very friendly, knowelegable, helpful. However, once everything went to the Finance department it all fell apart. I was told that the finance guy had to call my bank in the morning to "talk to someone because my income level was a little low". I thought that was weird since I was already financed through the bank. It shouldn't have been a problem. No big deal though because I was told to call back the next day to find out what was going on (thought it was weird that I had to call THEM). But anyway, when I called...no one knew ANYTHING about what I was talking about. My salesperson was off that day and I ended up leaving a message for Mike Murphy (Sales Manager, by the way) and today is Sunday night and I have YET to hear from him. Ironically, I have what they call "Identity Theft Protection" so if my credit is checked at all by anyone I get an email about it. I got NOTHING, which means that they never even checked my credit! They completely wasted my time. That's okay, I'll just take my business elsewhere.
