My Hurley Auto Sales review

Purchasing a car from Hurley Auto Sales has been the biggest mistake of my life, no exaggeration. My fiance and I purchased a used car from Hurley Auto Sales at the end of June 2010. The salesman who sold us the car (who, I will admit, was friendly) promised us “I would never send a car that’s not good.” Within an hour of purchasing the car and driving home, the check engine light came on. We returned the next day to be refunded our money or fix the problem. The owner agreed to have his mechanic check out the problem. They had the car for two weeks and fixed one small part that may or may not fix the problem. Upon picking up the car, the owner told us to call him if the check engine light came back on in the next few days and that he would deal with the issue promptly. Unfortunately, the check engine light came back on the next day. We have been trying to contact the owner of Hurley Auto Sales for over a month now to address the issue and he never calls us back. However, other employees will answer the phone and make no attempt to communicate respectfully. The lack of communication on the owner’s part is very frustrating and stressful. A few weeks ago, the car’s brakes failed on my way home from work. Upon taking it to a shop, our trusted mechanic told us that there were at least four other problems (on top of the brakes) that needed to be addressed. We would easily spend just as much if not double on repairs than what we did on the car. WE KNOW WE TOOK A RISK BUYING A USED CAR, BUT THIS CAR IS NOT USABLE OR SAFE. Our experience with Hurley Auto Sales has been a nightmare. I hope that it will improve in the future, but I would advise anyone that is looking to purchase a car to stay far away from Hurley Auto Sales. No one deserves to go through what my fiance and I have.
