My Dublin Toyota reviewWe made the mistake of buying from this place. NEVER AGAIN. They are nice at first then so aggressive and rude and threatening. Someone needs to stop this dealership from being in business. Hopefully all these reviews will help someone else from making the mistake of even stepping a foot in the parking lot. The salesperson’s name was MIKE stay away from him. Big tall white guy.

My Dublin Toyota review‘WARNING’!! DUBLIN TOYOTA STAFF VERY VIOLENT!!:devil(
WARNING!! Worst Experience Ever!!! New car purchase from Dublin Toyota Scion
BEWARE! The old “Bait and Switch “game is still alive and well at Dublin Toyota Scion in Dublin, CA. On Sunday December12, 2010 I got a phone quote on a 2011 Toyota Camry from a Toyota dealership in Modesto, CA. Not wanting to drive that far my sister suggested that I call Dublin Toyota which was closer to see if they would match that price. I called Dublin Toyota and spoke to a salesperson that identified himself as “Jojo”. Jojo informed me that he would, indeed, match the price. My family and I drove down to Dublin Toyota where hoards of salespeople approached us. I insisted that I wanted to talk to Jojo. Jojo finally came out to greet us. I introduced myself and my family and informed Jojo of our earlier telephone discussion.
After the introductions we went to Jojo”s desk and he wrote up the papers for the 2011 Camry but the out-the-door price was now $3,500 more than he had quoted on the phone. I told him that was not the price that I agreed to on the phone and that I wouldn’t buy the car at that price. He then shifted the conversation to a 2011 Venza that was on the showroom floor. He talked about what a great deal he could get me on a 2010 Venza because of the end of the year sale. He showed us the 2010 Venza which really was a nice cross-over SUV so we agreed to the out-the-door price $27,000.00 on the 2010 Venza. Jojo left the paperwork on the desk and went and talked to the “sales manager” and seemingly disappeared. The floor manager approached us and told us that he was now handling the transaction. That “Jojo doesn’t know how to sell cars, he’s been fired”. The floor manager took the paperwork and said “let me see what I can do”. He came back without the paperwork and started to try to start negotiations over stating that he could sale the Venza to us for $30,000.00. Once he said that I requested to see the manager…the person that he kept running back and forth to see. I went over to see the sales manager to find out what the problem was. I told him that I had initially agreed with Jojo to buy the 2011 Camry for $20,000.00 matching price of the Modesto dealership—-that changed; the price was raised to $23,500.00. Now I had agreed with Jojo to buy the 2010 Venza for $27.000.00 out-the-door, that changed; now the price is $30,000.00 plus taxes and license. What’s going on here? You guys wasted my time I could have driven to Modesto and back by now. The sales manager got extremely belligerent and started using profanity…”I’m not selling you any f*cking car; get the f*ck out of my dealership”.
THE BOTTOM LINE HERE IS THAT THIS TYPE OF SITUATION CLEARLY SHOWS THAT THIS WAS A BAIT AND SWITCH TACTIC FROM THE VERY BEGINNING….TWICE NO LESS. THE FIRST TIME TO GET ME INTO THE DEALERSHIP UNDER THE GUISE OF MATCHING PRICES TO SALE ME THE CAR AT A HIGHER PRICE THAN PREVIOUSLY QUOTED: THEN, AGAIN, CHANGING THE AGREED UPON PRICE ON ANOTHER CAR. NOT TO MENTION THE ARROGANCE OF THE SALES MANAGER AND HIS GROSS DISRESPECT OF ME AND MY FAMILY.

My Dublin Toyota reviewEssentially, I was scammed.
We negotiated a OTD (out the door price) for a Toyota Corolla.
I wanted to pay cash but was persuaded to go for 0% financing.
They charged my credit card $1000 and then made me rush into signing the financing papers.
I received my first bill and found that the $1000.00 charged on my credit card was not included. When I contacted the salesperson, I was told that the OTD price negotiated was AFTER the $1000.00 charged to my credit card.
I had gone on a Saturday afternoon and for 2 hours I was the only customer there.
They will be shutting down soon as is (in my opinion as I observed on a Saturday afternoon). Avoid them completely.
I should have read the reviews about these guys on some of the Internet sites before patronizing them. Awful, horrible experience.

My Dublin Toyota reviewThis Dealership in Toyota Dublin is horrible when it come to get a service either
oil change or other. The amount of time waiting is about 3 hrs + and it could be longer than that. I wouldn’t recommended to bring in your service on Saturday!

My Dublin Toyota reviewLet me just preface this post by saying that I have never enjoyed the process of buying a new car, and quite frankly considered it a pain the ass, but a neccesary evil. In the past, I have had to play the “sales game” and haggle for hours in a dealership just to get a decent deal, and in the end, left exhausted and somehow feeling that I didn’t get quite as good a deal as I thought, eventhough I was driving a away in a brand new car which should be exciting and positive.
That being said, my experience with Dublin Toyota changed my perception of the whole car buying experience. I needed a new car and I decided to buy a Toyota Prius II. I researched the prices online and then sent a request for a quote via the Toyota site, and was put in touch with the internet sales manager for Dublin Toyota, Marlon Brown. Over the course of a week, Marlon and I conversed via email. He was very responsive and responded to my emails in a timely manner, and in some cases immediately when we were on line at the same time! I also had a request for a quote in at the same time with Walnut Creek Toyota to ensure that I got the best deal.
Walnut Creek came in with a great bid, but Marlon came in much lower and ultimately, Walnut Creek dropped out. I was very apprehensive at first because I wasn’t sure that the monthly payments would work. Instead of letting me figure it out for myself, Marlon took the extra time to calculate tax, license, total cost out the door, as well as monthly payments for 2 different interest rates. Now I knew I could make it work and Marlon and I arranged a time to meet via phone.
Marlon kept true to his word, and delivered the Prius of my choice at the price he promised. Unlike what the other person wrote, I had a great experience. I must admit that I read her post the day before I went over there, and it almost made me cancel the whole deal. I figured that the price was so good that I had to take the chance and see for myself. I am so glad I made that decision!!!!!!! Marlon treated me right, as well as the finance manager Robbie De Los Santos. Both of these guys were very professional, patient, and answered all of my questions. My new Prius rocks!!! In the end, all it took was a few emails, very little of my valuable free time spent, and being satisfied that I got a great deal. I also had the benefit of a personal friend in the car business telling me that I got a screaming deal and even he could not beat Marlon’s and Dublin Toyota’s offer!! Thanks guys for renewing my faith in the whole new car buying process!!!!

My Dublin Toyota reviewMy husband and I were in the market to purchase a 2009 Highlander Limited under the Toyota employee purchase program which provides for specific pricing and conditions. We contacted several dealers in the area to determine those who participate in the program. Marlon Brown, the fleet/internet manager responded via email that yes he does work with the program and did have 4 cars in stock that met our criteria. We drove from Walnut Creek to Dublin in the afternoon to drive and purchase the car. When we arrived we were informed by Marlon that the cars were not available but were on a boat to be shipped to the dealtership. Marlon then handed us off to Prem Chand, who also claimed to be the fleet/internet manager.Prem asked us what we knew about the program then told us he was sure it ended in January 2009 (which we confrimed was not accurate), and proceeded to offer us a purchase price above MSRP. We left the dealership due to these deceptive practices and followed with an email to Marlon and Prem asking to be contacted by the dealership manager. Marlon claimed he mis-understood even after I provided him copies of his written correspondence to me.
What these 2 salesmen attempted to do was a classic bait and switch ploy, get us into the store and hand us off to an aggressive sales agent who lied to us about the program. I have contacted Toyota corporate and Toyota America to complain about Dublin Toyota and especially because an employee benefit/incentive is being treated with the disrespect and deceptive practices we encountered. We intend to take this complaint as far up the chain of commad as is necessary to stop this from happening to another customer.
I had heard about salesmen like the Dublin crew, you see this parodied in movies but I did not believe a professional dealership would actually allow its employees to act in this manner. We are sophisticated and informed consumers and I am shocked at how the staff at this dealership acted. I hope my write up will be taken to save another family from what we experienced. Do not deal with this dealership. There are other reputable dealerships in the area that will act with integrity. The car buying experience should not be as negative as what we experienced.
