The salesman pretty much "Wham Bam heres your car". He was In such a hurry to sell me the car he didn't give me a chance to ask questions, haggle, or even get a carfax. He failed to mention that even though the car I purchased comes standard with keyless entry, It wasn't gonna come with a remote (fob). It would be an additional $61.50 if I purchased it through them plus $20 to program it. Not to mention, I got roped into a 5 year loan of $12000 with a 12.99% interest for an '05 with 77,000 miles. I dunno about the other salesmen but DO NOT go to Mike Crill!

I researched this situation and found that this review is not entirely correct. The customer said that they were pressured and hurried into purchasing a car. They sent in their credit application ahead of time to get the ball rolling and then his wife came in and looked at the vehicle and drove it before he ever came in. The gentleman came in he drove it as well before having paperwork done on it. They decided that this was the car they wanted and we put a hold sign in the vehicle for an entire day and a half while we worked with the banks to try and get a loan secured for them. All in all they had roughly 2-3 days to 'think' about the deal before buying it. The customer also drove the vehicle a second time before buying the car. We offer an Autocheck report on all of our vehicles free of charge on our website and the customer could have checked it at any time, we also would have happily printed this out for him if he had requested it. We hide nothing at this dealership. All of our vehicles are priced as they sit with or without keyless entry remotes and we don't have the profit built into each vehicle to pay the cost to buy them for every customer that wants one. If we offered that we would have to raise the prices on our cars to cover the additional cost. The customer also mentioned that he was 'roped' into a 12.99% rate but failed to mention that this rate was better than he was able to get at his own bank and much better than we were able to get with any of our other lenders as well. We don't 'rope' anyone into doing anything, that would be illegal. The customer had the opportunity to walk away from the deal at any time. It is unfortunate that this customer developed cold feet after making his decision, we did nothing wrong and stand by that.

"The customer said that they were pressured and hurried into purchasing a car. They sent in their credit application ahead of time to get the ball rolling and then his wife came in and looked at the vehicle and drove it before he ever came in."Funny as we do things like this together. Now if looking online qualifies as driving the vehicle, maybe...Also I did ask the salesman "If we submit the credit application am I obligated to complete the purchase?" The salesman then responded "Well, I don't do this for practice ya know.""The gentleman came in he drove it as well before having paperwork done on it."We had to ask to even see the vehicle after the paperwork was already in the process. "They decided that this was the car they wanted and we put a hold sign in the vehicle for an entire day and a half while we worked with the banks to try and get a loan secured for them."Loan paperwork was not filed or even processed till the day of purchase. The hold sign... Hmm. They called the day before and said someone was real interested in the vehicle and was in the process of looking at it when they went to put the hold sign on so they were not able to do so that night, once again according to the salesman."All in all they had roughly 2-3 days to 'think' about the deal before buying it." We ended up buying the car the day the paperwork was run, the day the car was looked at, and also the first time it was driven."The customer also drove the vehicle a second time before buying the car."We were finally able to drive the car after once again telling the salesman, after we had done on the phone many times, that we were not able to make a down payment. He then suggested that a $500 down payment should be made on a credit card."We offer an Autocheck report on all of our vehicles free of charge on our website and the customer could have checked it at any time, we also would have happily printed this out for him if he had requested it."We did not have a chance at all to request this. It was here is your paperwork. Don't like this, we will be back. 1 hr 15 min later we are still waiting for the salesman to return."We hide nothing at this dealership."If given a chance to omit details it appears that this will happen. "All of our vehicles are priced as they sit with or without keyless entry remotes and we don't have the profit built into each vehicle to pay the cost to buy them for every customer that wants one."Look at this listing at the edmark store. http://www.edmarksuperstore.com/useddetails.php?stocknum=89350A&get=yNotice under features keyless entry? Well having been screwed, i can now see that details are being omitted once again. Take a look at the interior: http://webiol.homenetinc.com/dealers/4350/9080/89350A(17).jpgWahh no FOB? How can it even be listed as keyless entry?"he customer also mentioned that he was 'roped' into a 12.99% rate but failed to mention that this rate was better than he was able to get at his own bank and much better than we were able to get with any of our other lenders as well."What other lenders did we talk to? We had talked to them first and had not yet talked to other actual banks and/or credit unions. "We don't 'rope' anyone into doing anything, that would be illegal. "The above forementioned on key FOBS does sound oddly like a bait and switch. Isn't that illegal?"The customer had the opportunity to walk away from the deal at any time."That is not what we were pressured into thinking. We were told that a lot of interest had been shown in this vehicle and they were surprised that the last couple didn't take it. Not to mention, We came in from the brief drive and said we like it, the salesman then said he'd be right back and disappeared. Next thing we know the loan lady is coming over with paperwork for us to sign. Our salesman is now behind us helping another customer."It is unfortunate that this customer developed cold feet after making his decision, we did nothing wrong and stand by that."Cold feet? No. We love the vehicle. We hate the way we were treated and don't feel that other people receive such treatment.

I would have gladly researched this situation if I could find the customer's name. If you would like to respond I would still like to. Based on what was said though this looks pretty straight forward. We sell used cars and every single used car on the planet has the possibility of breaking down at any time during it's life. Before we place a car on our lot for sale we run a full safety inspection to make sure that the vehicle is in good working order. If it isn't, we don't put it on the lot for sale. This doesn't mean that it can't develop a problem after the inspection is done. Secondly, every customer that buys a vehicle from Edmark is given the opportunity to purchase an extended warranty to cover against any of these possible breakdowns that can occur. This customer obviously declined any additional coverage and is now regretting that decision. One other protection that we offer free of charge for a situation like this is a powertrain warranty for the first 30 days if a problem does show up. We cover 50% parts and labor in this case. I know it isn't fun to purchase a used car and then have a repair that needs to be covered but the only way to fully protect yourself is to buy a new car with the factory warranty or a used one with an extended warranty and every single one of our customers are advised of this prior to finishing their purchase.
