My Oak Lawn Mazda reviewThis is a follow up to the review i put before. After all the BS i found out that the negotiated price wasn’t the price they put on my invoice. I was overcharged by $800, called them and talked to everyone at the place, they said they would cut me a check and send to me. After 2 months of not receiving the check and leaving about 30 messages on voicemails and with the receptionist no one would call me back. I finally threatened them that i would get my lawyer involved next thing you know they sent me a check next day air. These guys are a bunch of scam artist and give dealerships a bad name. Im also mad that i drove home from chicago not knowing that the back left tire was completely shredded, when i took it to an audi dealership to get it looked at they couldn’t believe that someone would sell me a car with a tire like that. Stay away from this dealership!

My Oak Lawn Mazda reviewI made a appointment to bring my car in to get serviced. My car failed emissions and i was told i needed to bring it in to get checked before i can take the emissions test again. Jason wouldn’t service my car because the check engine light was on. I later called him back because the testing facility wouldn’t test my car unless i got it looked at. Jason told me that i can bring it in and run a emissions test on it. Would of been nice to have done it when i brought it in dumb ass…

My Oak Lawn Mazda reviewOne of the worst dealerships i have ever dealt with. Misrepresented the car that i flew in from out of state for. After negotiating a different price for the car because of the misrepresentation they put the original price on it. Wanted me to finance with them when i already had a check from my bank. Said they wouldn’t run a credit check, i didn’t want one since i already financed from my bank they ran it anyways. Tried to pressure me into financing with them. After i got back home tried to reach the at least 15 times every time they had an excuse and said they would call be back. Ricky, Roman, Scott, and the whole crew over at Oak Lawn Mazda are shady. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP IF YOU KNOW WHATS BEST. Makes me questions dealerships but i have gone to enough honest ones that i know this isn’t the norm.

My Oak Lawn Mazda reviewI had an accident and the rearbumper was completely totalled on my Mazda Protege. I was asked around forvarious quotes on a new bumper plus the labour charges at various mechanicshops. I also went to Oak Lawn Mazda for an evaluation and they offered me apretty decent price. I decided to go with them since I had the peace of mindthat my repair was done by a Mazda dealer. I was able to pick up the car a fewdays after and I was very pleased with the overall service.

My Oak Lawn Mazda reviewI was interested in buying either a Ford Focus or a Mazda 3 and was having a difficult time in making the final decision. When I walked into Oak Lawn Mazda, I was still two-minded but my sales person pulled all the stops for me and was willing to sit through all my questions. After my test-drive and having talked numbers with my sales person, I was convinced with the Mazda 3. I truly appreciated his honesty in comparing both cars for me in every aspect, including price. I recommend Oak Lawn Mazda.

My Oak Lawn Mazda reviewI really liked all the changes Mazda has made to all their 2010 models. Was in the market for an SUV and was seriously considering the CX-7. I went to Oak Lawn Mazda for a test-drive and I really like the overall look and feel of the car. I asked a lot of questions regarding the options as well as the pricing and my sales rep took his time and answered every question in detail – Great guy! When it came the price, I was able to negotiate down quite a bit and I was very satisfied with the overall customer service. Will recommend Oak Lawn Mazda.

My Oak Lawn Mazda reviewThe worst experience of our lives. We went looking for a CX-7. After driving an hour, of course the one online was just sold. Our needs were simple, CX-7, AWD, lowest miles possible. We stated our needs up front and the salesman even wrote them down on a spec. sheet. We drove another one that met our needs and liked it. The only problem was there was a huge defect in the door like someone tried to pry it open and break in. We decided that we didn’t want to buy a car that needed body work. The salesman and his manager saw a sale slipping away and told us that there was another CX-7 that was “comparable” and had what we needed and just had a few more miles on it. So we decided to check it out. We drove it, liked it, and after three hours of waiting and typical salesmen pitches and problems, bought it. After the hour drive home, we started looking deeper into the car. Not only was the antenna missing, the door for the fuse panel was missing and worst of all, the car was NOT AWD. I immediately called the salesman and told him. He acted surprised and asked when we could come back in. Our next available time for the hour drive was Monday, two days later. Monday we called and were told that we would be working with General Manager Mike Z. to resolve the issue. After about five calls to Mike Z., he called us back around 4pm. He was unaware of the details of the situation and had to “look into it.” I told him that I wanted to iron out the details so we could just come in and switch cars and not spend all day there. He said that there was no way we could get in the other car if we wanted the door fixed. We thought about it and called Mike Z back. We were willing to take the car and fix the door ourselves, to avoid adding cost. After three days of trying to speak to Mike Z. again, he told us that, “We never represented that car as AWD so we are not at fault.” He also added that we could switch cars back to the one with the defect but the payments would definitely go up, even without them fixing the door. We let Mike Z. and our salesman know that we were coming in to speak with them and resolve this. We were told that they open at 9, our salesman would come in and Mike Z. would be there at 1130. We arrived at 10, our salesman never showed. Julian, another manager said that Mike Z. was delayed and would be there around noon. At 1230 we were told that Mike Z. wouldn’t be coming in until about two. We left without a resolution. The next day we got a call from the corporate office, saying there would be no problem trading for the AWD car. When we finally got a hold of Mike Z., (a day later), he said that we could come in and pay a three hundred dollar restocking fee and the payments would still go up. Frustrated and tired of trying to convince someone to own up to their mistake, we stayed with the front wheel version. After five days of arguing, about fifty calls to the dealership with only about three finding someone, multiple calls to the corporate office, who also were unable to reach Mike Z. after multiple attempts, and one evasive Mike Z., we were defeated by liars who were unwilling to compromise or accommodate. The entire time they proudly declared that they were not at fault for this happening and were “Not interested in buying the car back because its not financially sound for the company”. Unbelievable. So now, we are planning on taking the car to the local dealer and trading it for the one we want. To add to their deceptive ways I went online and looked up the AWD version we tried tirelessly to get. In person, the defect in the door is impossible to miss. The metal is pried out almost a full inch. However, the photos of the car online show no defect whatsoever from multiple angles. We are now following up with corporate and the BBB. This dealer is dishonest. If anyone would like more information on the dealership or the people we interacted with please contact me. I’ll be happy to share.

My Oak Lawn Mazda reviewIt was finally time to trade in my old Mazda protege5 (2002) for a new car and the new Mazda 3 sedan seemed to fit the bill. Being a savvy buyer I was interested in getting the best possible deal and Oak Lawn Mazda worked with me to get to a win-win price and package. Very happy with my purchase and will be coming back for all my future vehicles.

My Oak Lawn Mazda reviewI purchased my pre-owned Mazda 5 from Oak Lawn Mazda and I had a decent buying experience. I viewed their inventory online before calling for an appointment to test drive the car. My salesperson was polite and answered all my questions in detail. The pricing was fair and competitive compared to what other dealerships offered for the same car. I was able to get an additional discount on the listing price which I was very happy about. Overall I’d recommend this dealership.

My Oak Lawn Mazda reviewI purchased a 2001 Toyota Corolla in seemingly excellent condition from this dealer about 2 years ago. I recently moved to Chicago and do not need a car, so I went to Carmax today to sell my Corolla. To my horror, the Carmax appraiser found that there had been some severe past damage on the car, which had been repaired by using a new hood and both fenders from different vehicles that had been painted to match the rest of the car. These new parts hid a frame that had been rewelded in order to repair it. To make matters even worse, it turns out that one of the VIN number stickers on the car had been changed to match the VIN number on all of the other panels of the car in order to hide the past damage. I was never made aware of any of this by the dealership. In fact, I was told that the car passed the dealership’s rigorous inspection with flying colors!
The nice folks at Carmax explained to me that dealers sometimes purchase totaled cars at a low price and then do a lipstick job to make the car look like new so that they can sell it for much more than it is worth. This, unfortunately, is what happened to me. Since the damage on the car was not filed with the police or an insurance company, the dealership was able to do its “repairs” on the car under the radar, without ever having to mention it to me. The really scary part about all of this is that, had I gotten into a head on collision, the frame of the car literally could have snapped in half due to the structural problems caused as a result of the make-shift “repairs” done by the dealer on the past damage.
I find this to be very dishonest and I highly urge everyone who is interested in Oak Lawn Mazda to consider a different dealership.

My Oak Lawn Mazda reviewI contacted Oak Lawn Mazda for a test-drive of the new Mazda3 sedan. My salesperson was very polite over the phone and in-person at the dealership. He explained all the features in detail before the test-drive and answered all my questions thoroughly. When the time came to talk about the pricing, I felt very comfortable as he was able to work out a great discount on the overall value. I was very pleased with the customer service and I’m glad I made my purchase at this dealer. The entire process took about a couple of days including paperwork which made the experience even more worthwhile. I’ll definitely recommend Oak Lawn Mazda.

My Oak Lawn Mazda reviewI will definitely recommend Oak Lawn Mazda dealership. I was conflicted between a VW Golf and a Mazda3. After test driving the Golf, I went to Oak Lawn Mazda to try out the Mazda3 and I was completely won over by the customer service and what the car had to offer in terms of options and pricing. My salesperson was polite and explained everything about the car in detail. After the test drive, I was convinced with the car and scored a great deal on the price as well. Overall, I was very pleased with the customer service and I’m satisfied with choosing the Mazda3.

My Oak Lawn Mazda reviewI visited Oak Lawn Mazda for test-driving the new Mazda3. I still hadn’t made up my mind whether I’d purchase a car immediately. The salesman was very courteous and friendly. My unwillingness to make a purchase right away didn’t discourage him from providing me with good customer service. He explained and demonstrated all the features and let me go for a test-drive on my own. I was very pleased with the vehicle as well as the customer service. If I make up my mind about the Mazda3, I’m definitely coming back to Oak Lawn Mazda for the purchase. I had a great experience at this dealership!

My Oak Lawn Mazda reviewI was very keen on buying a new Mazda3 especially with the financing deals that have been introduced for the new models. I walked into Oak Lawn Mazda dealership and I was pleasantly greeted by the staff. My sales rep was easy to work with and wasn’t aggressive throughout the process. He gave me enough time to think and make a well planned decision. They were able to knock the pricing down by quite a bit as well. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase and I’ll definitely return to this dealership.

My Oak Lawn Mazda reviewLast month, I traded-in my old model for a brand Mazda at the Oak Lawn Mazda dealership. I have to admit, I was very surprised with the great trade-in value I got for my old car. I was able to drive away with the new Mazda CX-9 by paying what I had in mind. The customer service at this dealership was excellent. Every member of the staff greeted me politely and my salesperson was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Overall, I had a great experience.

My Oak Lawn Mazda reviewJust got some servicing done on my Mazda3 from Oak Lawn Mazda dealership and I had a very positive experience. I needed a tune-up and new brake pads for which I was quoted a reasonable price compared to other places I had shopped for a quote at. It took them a very short period of time to get the repairs done and get my car ready. They were very honest about the repair work and explained each problem to me in detail. I was very convinced with the quality of service and I’ll definitely recommend this dealership.

My Oak Lawn Mazda reviewI was in an accident a couple of months ago where my front right headlight was completely damaged along with the bumper. I had emailed many body shops around the area for a repair quote and Oak Lawn Mazda had the best response amongst all. I took my car in to their body shop and my car was repaired and restored to its original condition in just a few days. I was glad to have repair work done so quick and for a reasonable price. The staff was honest and polite. I highly recommend this dealership for any repair or servicing needs.

My Oak Lawn Mazda reviewI was very satisfied with the quality of service at Oak Lawn Mazda. I was greeted well and the salesperson was very knowledgeable. He did not pressure me into making a purchase and was very patient throughout the entire sales process. I did not find it difficult to choose a car since there was quite a variety. I was in the market for an SUV so I ended up purchasing a new CX-7 from the dealership. I got a great deal on the car and I am very happy with it. I will definitely be returning to the same dealer for my servicing and I recommend you this give this dealer a visit if you’re interested in buying a Mazda.

My Oak Lawn Mazda reviewOaklawn seems like they have decent prices, but when I sat down with them….it all came to a head. The car was listed at $13,800. It was a great car and worth every cent of that. They tried to offer me payments of $464 for 48 months! That comes to over $22,000! Then I figured out that they snuck in a $2000 extended warranty package. Even if I wanted the warranty (which I didn’t), my out the door cost should have only been $17,000 or less, once my trade-in, fees and taxes were factored in! They wouldn’t even entertain that I was preapproved by my bank for 6%. In fact, they would not disclose what interest rate they were using to estimate my payments. It seemed like 30%! They didn’t even do a credit check to see that I had a score of 745! When I called them on their lack of transparency, I added the numbers that THEY gave me right in front of them and it didn’t come near what they were charging. What were these hidden numbers?!! The salesman seemed dumbfounded when he realized that the manager’s numbers didn’t add up. I kept asking them to SHOW ME THE NUMBERS….and they wouldn’t!
In the end, they refused to sell me the car unless I bought the “not required” extended warranty for $2000. Their final offer was $422 for 48 mos, which is a way high even with the warranty….whatever. I walked.

My Oak Lawn Mazda reviewWhen I first walked onto the lot I was a little hesitant. I haven’t bought a car in 5 years and my last experience was a nightmare. I must of walked around for all of about 5 minutes before Sean walked up to me and greeted me. I must admit that I may of been a little stand offish because of my thought of car salesman but, he seemed to sense this and made me feel comfortable right away. The hospitality didn’t stop there…from start to finish, he was there to walk me through this process. Even after the sale…I was promised a few things and he did exactly what he said he was going to do. I talk to him from time to time because he calls to see how I am doing and how I am liking my car which I don’t mind. It’s nice to know that “a used car salesman” is there for you way after the sale!! I have recommended him to everyone I come across and will continue to recommend people his way!!! He is courteous and polite and follows up with sincerity…GREAT JOB SEAN MITCHELL!!:)
