My Plaza Auto Mall reviewWell, Plaza Auto Mall did well today by not being responsible for a single double parked vehicle on Nostrand Ave this evening. I hope this is the new norm for them.

Sean Robinson
My Plaza Auto Mall reviewI came in late this past Monday (1/21/13) to purchase a used Hyundai Accent. The salesman (Sean Robinson) was quite friendly and helpful when I first came in. He said an Accent had ‘just came in’ and hadn’t even been through your ‘inspection process’. He originally quoted an acceptable price, stating and writing down what he ‘could do for me’ (his exact words). We then took a test drive and I told him I would purchase the car.
Of course he low-balled me on his first offer (approximately $10,280.00 – but I may be slightly off on his first offer). Once we got to back to the showroom he then did the usual dance of going ‘back to his manager’ and coming back to me with a higher sales price of $11,908.61, stating that he ‘didn’t know’ the car had not been through your inspection process. Yet not less than 1/2 hour prior to that (and when he quoted me the first price) he specifically stated it had not been through your inspection process. I told him this price was ridiculous and unacceptable, since it was not the quote/offer he initially gave me. He again ‘went to his manager’ and came back with yet another offer of $11,364.24. I again told him this was unacceptable. I finally agreed to buy the car at a lower price of $10,988.62.
HOWEVER, when I told him I could not give him a firm date as to when I could pay off the car in full, HE AGAIN ‘WENT BACK TO HIS MANAGER’ and said that the manager would NOT REFUND $1000.00 of my agreed upon $2000.00 deposit if I could not pay the balance off quickly. In what world does your dealership and employees exist where I would agree to such terms – forfeiting $1000.00 if I could not pay the balance off in a reasonable amount of time?! I really need to know.
I had clearly advised Mr. Robinson that I had to withdraw funds from my IRA, get that check, deposit it to my local bank and then wait for the funds to clear in order to get a certified check, and frankly, I was at the mercy of this process to get a certified check for the balance. And, under NO circumstances would I ever agree to a purchase contract that allowed the dealership to keep $1000.00 of my deposit under any circumstances.
Ultimately, I got Mr. Robinson to state on the contract that I would get a full refund of my deposit if anything unforeseen occurred and I could not complete the purchase, and I then purchased the car.
I will also state that I ONLY used your dealership, as I was having difficulties locating an acceptable used Hyundai with low mileage in my area. More importantly, the auto-theft ring that resulted in the arrest of 19 of your employees almost prevented me from coming into your dealership in the first place. And I have no doubt that your management was quite aware of what was going on. What I find totally amazing and frankly suspicious is that both Mr. Robinson and your finance manager claim never to have heard about these arrests. News like that is ALWAYS discussed among company employees. even if the incident took place approximately 1-1/2 years ago. Please read the news item regarding the thefts at the end of this message.
While Mr. Robinson was friendly (if not overly friendly as used car sales persons are when you first express interest in purchasing a car), as I kept refusing his higher offers, I detected a strong sense that he was getting more and more fed up with me. He certainly became far less friendly, and clearly became…for lack of a better term… almost cranky. And to top things off, a) he said I would get a full tank of gas with the purchase, yet when I went to pick the car up, he said I would get a 3/4 full tank of gas. I told him ‘no’, that he previously said a full tank, and b) he stated that he was having the car washed. Yet I saw the car immediately after the ‘car wash’ and not only was it absolutely dry, but your dealership markers are still on the windshield.
On the other hand, Mr. Robinson was kind enough to help me move some of my old belongings from my old car into the new car, which I appreciate.
New and used car buyers are much smarter about buying cars now than they were years ago, and your old-school sales tactics are really appalling and quite out of date. You forget that these days the internet is the main source of news, information, reviews, complaints, official entities to resolve legal issues between individuals and companies, etc. Thus, it is very easy to post and find such complaints about companies and their business practices. I do hope that wasn’t too subtle.

Authorities say they arrested 19 people today following a nine-month investigation into an auto-theft ring originating out of Brooklyn. According to police, $10 million worth of luxury cars were stolen off the streets throughout the borough and then resold to places as far away as Africa. They say the head of the operation is 28-year-old William Cruz, of Brooklyn, who gave orders from behind bars at Rikers Island.
Officials say that workers at a Nostrand Avenue auto plaza and Plaza Toyota in Midwood were among those arrested. They say the dealership employees would get counterfeit keys made for specific cars and within minutes, the vehicles would be off the streets and on a tanker headed overseas.

My Plaza Auto Mall reviewPlaza Auto Mall leaves its vehicles double parked on both sides of Nostrand Ave in Brooklyn, on the 27xx block of Nostrand Ave.Its main building is at 2740 Nostrand Ave.
These illegal actions have been going on nearly every single day for many years and create hazardous conditions and traffic congestion on Nostrand Ave between Aves “M” and “N”. Sometimes the block between Aves “L” and “M” is also an issue since they have an extra car storage lot there.
And, the huge freight trucks that deliver vehicles to this dealership exacerbate the situation when they double park on Nostrand Ave, either between “L” and “M” or between “M” and “N”. Why has nothing been done about this when it has been going on so often and for so long?
You are absolutely right. I think the police once issued a citation, but nothing has changed, or ever will change. Perhaps some calls to the local assembly person or the borough president (Marty Markowitz) might accomplish something.
By the way, they continually park cars on the sidewalks, which is also against the law and a severe danger to pedestrians.
I smell payoffs going on here.

My Plaza Auto Mall reviewI purchased my 2008 Certified Used Hyundai Tucson at Plaza Auto Mall in Brooklyn, New York in March of 2011. At the time, I was told by the salesman that I would get the balance of the original manufacturer’s warranty of 10 years/100,000 miles. I recently had an issue with my vehicle and it needed to be serviced. I was in the middle of a road trip and the car made a loud noise and the check engine light came on. I found a nearby service station and they ran a diagnostic and the code that came up was for a Cam Position Actuator. They cleared the code and explained that I would have to have it replaced. I contacted the Hyundai Dealership at my destination in Virginia Beach, VA but they were closed. The car was running fine so I drove back home and made an appointment with Plaza Auto Mall. I dropped the car off yesterday morning and explained what happened. The service person told me there would be $110 diagnostic fee that would be included in the cost of repair if I had my car fixed there. I explained that my car was under warranty. The service person told me the second owner does not get the same warranty but if it was under warranty they would submit the claim and I would not have to pay for it. I called the service place later in the day to check the status of my vehicle. I was told that the oil was low and dark and no repairs could be made until I had an oil change and it looks like I have not had any regular oil changes. I told him that was completely untrue and that I am very diligent with my oil changes. The last one was from Firestone and according to their window sticker, I am due for another in a few hundred miles. Then the service tech told me that it sometimes happens when you do not get oil changes from Hyundai Service Centers. I was told that they would have to change the oil and that I would have to drive the car and see if the light came back on and if it did, then I would have to bring it back so they could complete the repairs. Firstly, this still makes no sense to me and secondly, why did they need to keep my car til the following morning for an oil change? I received a call that my car was ready to be picked up. When I arrived, I was handed a bill for $163.26 which included a fee for $110 for a diagnostic and an oil change. I sought out the person who sold me the car and told me my car would be under warranty. Artem, the salesman, no longer worked there and I spoke to Jeff, a sales manager. Jeff looked everything up on the computer and told me that I did, in fact, have the balance of the 10 year/100,000 mile warranty and that I should not have to pay the diagnostic fee and he referred me to the service manager, Mike Alvarez. Mike explained the following to me:
There was sludge in my engine which voids my engine warranty. When I asked if the sludge was cleaned out, Mike told me it was not and that I would have to pay $440 to have the top of the engine removed to see how much sludge is in there. If there was a lot of sludge, he would show it to me and I would be responsible for the cost of having it cleaned out. I asked if that would reinstate my warranty and he replied, if the sludge is removed, your engine will be fine and you will have no problems. He also said if there was a little sludge that they would work with me and I would not have to pay for it because it would be covered. Then I asked about the repairs needed according to the diagnostic codes and was told that no repairs could take place until the sludge was taken care of. I explained to Mike that I have owned this vehicle for 20 months and have put 30,000 miles on it since purchasing it. I have been very diligent about getting oil changes, what is the possibility th at the supposed “sludge build-up” is not from my ownership but from the previous ownership, which should have been checked by Plaza prior to selling the car. Mike said there was no way of knowing. My warranty is being voided for a problem that may or may not exist which could may or may not be the fault of the previous owner or Plaza Auto (for not locating this problem prior to selling the vehicle.) I find it difficult to believe that regular oil changes and “non-Hyundai brand” oil filters have caused such a sludge build-up that my engine is no longer warrantied and that I have to pay $100s of dollars to have cleaned out. If that is the case, it is my obligation to consult with Consumer Affairs and the Better Business Bureau and the Department of Motor Vehicles to ensure that places that specialize in oil changes are stopped form doing business as they cause consumer vehicles to have sludge build-up which results in costly repairs and voided warranties.
So I paid $163.26 for an oil change. The repair that my car actually needed was not done. I went from having a warranty, to not having a warranty, back to having a warranty which was voided (but only if I have a lot of sludge as opposed to a little sludge, which no one knows until I consent to a costly job.)Since my very expensive oil change, there is a burining metal smell. So, I am making payments for a certified used car and they voided my warranty now that it needs service.
This place is nothing but con artists and scammers.

My Plaza Auto Mall reviewWalked in as we were shopping for a new lease. Originally wanted 2012 honda accord coupe, but after consideration of all the facts including the price of the lease decided to go with 4-door instead. I told the sales lady that I still have 3 months of payments remaining on old lease. After negotiating we settled on a price which also included them taking over the remaining payments from older vehicle. Picked up the car few days later, signed all the paperwork, verbally checked that there wont be any problems with them making the remander of the lease payments to honda financial. All was set right?! well 2 months later we get an email from honda financial saying that account from old lease is past due. Multiple attempts to resulve with sales person, finance manager, honda financial still not moving forward. We stuck with 1 payment that they were suppose to cover that they now refusing to cover. I wouldn’t recommend them, they are LIARS! If I can control I’d put them all out of work.

My Plaza Auto Mall reviewPLAZA AUTO LEASING is a branch of Plaza Mall and from the beginning of my phone conversation i felt pressured to not ask too many questions and just commit to lease according to their terms. when they started giving me different #’s with different options i knew i should end the phone call. seemed dishonest to me!
Here at Plaza Auto Leasing we strive to give our customers all the information they need over the phone, at times some of the information can become overwhelming. Usually the best way to get the information correct is to come in person so we can take the time to show you the car and all the financial options for you.

My Plaza Auto Mall reviewVery. Dishonest place. Never visit.I came for a rade and was promised the same or lower payments. I wasn’t going to trade for a whole year. I didn’t trust them..I was right! They gave me a payment that my credit and budget couldn’t afford . They never told me my payments until I got the bill. Almost $300 more than my budget!. Came back in to sign a new contract with lower or simiklar payments (blank contract by finance manager Kevin Weekes) never sent to Honda Finance. He lied and then hasn’t returned my calls for 2 weeks. I’m getting a lawyer now for false adverisement and false practices with truth in lending agreement.
We offer our customers the opportunity to trade in their vehicle to obtain a newer vehicle with the latest options; we do not pressure any of our customers to commit to a purchase if they do not feel comfortable with it. Our commitment to our customers is to ensure their buying experience is pleasant and rewarding for both parties.

My Plaza Auto Mall reviewI came here for an oil change and it took over 3 hrs to get it done. I wouldnt buy from here because hte service is so slow and crappy, i can only wonder how they would try to milk you for all the extra service. they promise that my car would be done by a certain time only to my surprise (after over 2 1/2hr) that they are still working on it. No apology what so ever, only excuses…
Recently we made vast improvements on our time frame for oil changes and we are able to complete this in 45min, and if we do not complete your oil change in this time frame it’s free.

My Plaza Auto Mall reviewPlaza Auto Mall in Brooklyn NY – This was the worstexperience my husband and I have ever encountered at a car dealership. We hearda radio ad on 1010WINS news that they were running good deals on vehicles andmany to choose from – better than what we could get at our local Huntingtondealership (which we went to on Sunday May 22, 2011). On Monday, May 23 myhusband went to Plaza Auto Mall in Brooklyn NY and negotiated to turn in our2009 Rav 4 because the lease was coming due – for a new lease on a ToyotaSienna XLE. After spending ALL daygetting the “run around” from several sales people including themanager, he negotiated a deal we felt we could afford. Once, he even heard themanager say “don’t let that guy leave”. It was getting late and thedealer agreed to a contract that he signed – to turn in our 2009 Rav 4 andlease the new 2011 XLE Sienna. We have a signed contract for $399 per month anda $2,300 one time payment on our Amex to cover taxes, DMV charges and bank loanfees. My husband left with the Sienna and handed over the keys to the Rav 4. Itseemed to be a successful “sign & drive” deal. I drove the car all day Tuesday!(5-24-11).
HOWEVER, the next day (Tuesday, 5-24-11), we received a callfrom Plaza Auto Mall in Brooklyn NY – I have it on my voice mail – to come backASAP to sign a paper that was “overlooked” and that”service” needed to do something with the Sienna. My husband was ableto take ANOTHER day off from work to drive all the way back to Plaza Auto Mallin Brooklyn NY on Wed 5-25-11. Once he got there, the tone of the sales peoplewere extremely nasty and they TOOK THE SIENNA AWAY FROM HIM ALONG WITH THE KEYS- AND WOULD NOT GIVE THE SIENNA BACK UNTIL A NEW DEAL WAS SIGNED BY US FOR AHIGHER LEASE PAYMENT OR MORE MONEY CHARGED TO OUR AMEX. They immediately tookthe plates off the Sienna and returned them to the Rav 4 (my old car) and heldhim there for hours trying to negotiate a new deal. (We already signed it MONDAY!) Plaza Auto Mall in BrooklynNY, claimed that the residual value on the Rav 4 was not added to the remainingbalance due for the months left on the lease. They claimed that our loanthrough Teachers Federal Credit Union was not accurately figured by theirfinance rep. at the dealership. Therefore, they were NOT going to pay the fullamount to TFCU, and WE would be billed directly by TFCU – a balance of approx.$4,000! They harassed my husband until he was so fed up, that he no longertrusted them or anything they said. After we talked, we agreed to take the Rav4 back and have them refund the amount charged to the Amex. THEY DID NOT HONOROUR ORIGINAL AGREEMENT AND TRIED TO SCARE US INTO RE-NEGOTIATING ANOTHER DEALAT A HIGHER RATE. We are educated people and are used to being treatedrespectfully. We were not in a rush to negotiate a “sign & drive”- or to be pushed into something we could not afford. This was the ABSOLUTEWORST experience, and my husband lost TWO days of work, and experienced mentalanguish by being “bullied” by several sales people. DO NOT GO TOPlaza Auto Mall in Brooklyn NY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry you went through this experience, at times the inital contract goes through a credit check and states this on the contract, if the credit comes back under the normal tier’s it will change the rate. Also the payoff on a vehicle can take longer than expected if the value of the car is less than what is owed. However the situation you went through is not the normal level of service we provide and we will address accordingly.

My Plaza Auto Mall reviewI’ve had an appalling experience at Plaza Honda very recently. It’s an awful feeling when you found out you’ve been swindled. I want to share my experience with the car buying community to warn and educate others out there so they won’t make the same mistakes that I have.
Before going dealerships, I educated myself by reading all I could on buying a car and the pitfalls involved. I obtained the price the dealership pays for the model and how much holdback (i.e. money) they get from Honda when the car is sold. With those info, I prepared myself for the bargaining, which I thought was the worst part of buying a car. I managed to get a good price and put down a deposit.
My mistake came when I went to pick up the car and sign the final papers. Closing the deal was really where they get you. Even though I read that they might try to sell you accessories, warranty, etc. We had to deal with another salesman, one we’ve never met before. He is generally known as the Finance & Insurance guy (F&I), in other word, a more experienced and savvy salesman—someone who is much better at milking customers. I realized now that they employ the good cop, bad cop routine. The first salesman’s job is to rope you in with a low price, then the senior salesman takes over. He was good, I’ve to give him that. Talked nonstop. Nothing was off limit; told us his life history. The purpose was to give the illusion that he was our friend and would help us get the best deal. Since we already agreed on the price of the car, there was nothing much he could spin there, but we wanted financing, he used the financing as an excuse to tag on a bunch of questionable charges.
RULE #1: Be very suspicious of over-friendly salesmen, their aim is to line their own pockets with your money and not to save you money. Also, be aware that dealerships hire people from different countries specifically to prey on their own kinsmen. Never, ever forget that.
The questionable charges amounted to a couple thousand dollars. The F&I guy went into fabrication overdrive and led us to believe that the extras were mandatory in order to get financing. Frankly, we didn’t know how much of it to believe. Only afterward when I made some calls to the financing company and my own car insurance that I found out none of the extras were required. They were just that—extras, to fatten the profits of the dealership and the salesmen.
RULE #2: If not sure about any sudden charges, demand written material that outlines the terms and requirements. Also, if you’re getting financing through the dealership, check beforehand what, if any, extra fees are required to get financing. Never trust anything the F&I salesman tells you.
Another trick is that the salesman would lump some charges together and tell you he/she is giving you a discount.
RULE #3: Get the exact price, in print, of all the extras instead of letting the salesman lump them together and confuse you.
Then he handed us a bunch of paper to sign. And already feeling overwhelmed, I signed them without reading it line by line. Well, that’s my fault. Any ethical business won’t rush you through signing a contract but we’re talking about car dealerships and salesmen here.
RULE #4: Don’t go to pick up the car when you don’t have hours to spare. Be prepared to be at the dealership as long as it takes in order to read EVERYTHING they have you sign, BEFORE you sign them. I would recommend going over with a fine tooth comb on the invoice BEFORE signing other papers; this way, you can contest all the surprise charges first. Bring a friend, someone who’s not invested emotionally and have that person be your watcher. Have that person read all the papers as well.
I was also charged a document fee. When I first put the deposit down, I was assured by the first salesman that this fee was waived. It’s not included in the deposit contract. They sneaked it back in at the end.
RULE #5: Be prepared to walk away if they insist you need to purchase the extra stuff. There is no reason your should unless it’s actually required by law.
Another shady business dealing is that the salesman is known as one name to us and has a totally different name on the contract! Asking him directly elicited some bogus response. To this day, I still don’t know exactly why he use an alias but that tells you something about the business practices at this dealership.
The receptionist, who is another piece of work, doubles as their guard dog. All smiles when customers show up but as soon as she finds out that a car buyer has a problem with the dealership, you could see the negative change in her demeanor and attitude. Her job is to use delay tactics and stop you from going any further. If she frustrates you enough so you go away, she has succeeded. Nasty woman.
And don’t expect the General Sales Manager to help. I’ve called numerous times on separate occasions, left polite messages, and he just ignored me and never called back. The fact is that more money salespeople bring in, the more money goes around to the higher-ups and the dealership. There is no reason why managers should help the consumers because that means less money to themselves unless the situation truly escalates out of hand.
Unfortunately, I wish I could tell you another dealership is better, more ethical, and more fair, but I fear they’re pretty much all birds of a feather. I urge you to check out a very informative article and the video, “Confession of a Car Salesman” on Edmunds.com and you’ll understand although salespeople are bad, the managers are really the agitator behind the scene. The plain truth is that, as long as consumer laws are weak for car salesmanship, car buyers are always going to be preyed upon. I would suggest everyone who’ve ever been cheated by car dealers and salesmen, write to your local politicians, state attorney general, consumer agencies and ask them to pass laws or regulations to better police this industry.
Dear customer, we apologize for any experience that you have had that has tainted your perspective of our dealership. We do not intend to make any customer feel swindled and have since simplified the buying process to make it more hassle-free.

My Plaza Auto Mall reviewThis is the worst dealership! The price for the car is the highest / check the neighborhood/ It took them a few hours to scam me. I walked in about 1 pm and left after 8 pm. They never discussed the deal with me. When I asked why the price instead $16k was $22K Karl – the finance guy lied. He said it was 10% APR I have to pay to a bank. They gave me extended warranty total BS !I bought a new Toyota it gives me 3 years form 0 miles to 34000 miles. Plaza Auto Mall gave me their warranty – 3 years from 0 miles to 34000.
Besides they added the so called “rebate” TWICE. So the sales tax became twice bigger.
Then they signed me up to “Motor club” for $14000 which gives me 24 hours road assistance. Why did I need it ? I have AAA for $48.
Then they added PLUS down payment $1330. Why PLUS? It is supposed to be MINUS.
Instead of $16 k they put on my bill $22177 plus 10% . Total $ 29935
The next morning I came back but nobody wanted to talk to me.
People ! Don’t go there, don’t even think about it. Google this name – they are all over internet, thousands of complaints about this business.
Fraudulent business scheme. Thieves !
The information we get back from the banks is based upon your credit and if the rate changes is what the bank determined from your credit check. The extended warrantly is optional and it is up to the consumer to purchase this option or decline it.

bald guy with a look “iamsosickofyou” told me that he couldn’t help me because he was a sales manager but not a
financial manager. Almost every day I talked to him asking to review the paper and correct the mistakes they’ve
made. And every time he said: ” Please find some one who will explain you – this is not a mistake, this is10% APR you have to pay to a bank.”
Now take a calculator and check it out.
$ 15744 the initial price for a car
+ $1318,56 NY sales tax
-$650 rebate
+ $150 inspection
+$190 new plate
+$12,50 fee for the old tires
+$170 Gap insurance
-$500 trade in / my old car/
-$200 my check
+$2500 extended warranty / I never asked about it and never been told a word about this kind of service /
+$1400 – Road assistance / This amount was added without my permission /
————————-
Total $20135
But not $22177
Together with 10% APR I have to pay $29935 They added HALF OF THE PRICE
It took me 1 month to cancel this “Road assistance” / as soon as I didn’t need it I had AAA for $48 a year /
Joanna – the secretary said:” Don’t expect you will get all the money, may be only some part of it. May be in
a few weeks.”
But I’ve never got the refund and I am still paying 10% APR
It took me 2 months to cancel extended warranty but I’ve paid 10% APR .
They added $650 – rebate TWICE ! Then they added down payment $1330. It is PLUS to the total amount.
Once I cried in front of two managers:”Please take this paper and check it.” Nobody moved. They didn’t care !
They shared the money: Troy Esposito-sales person, Karl-finance Guy, Mike-manager and the boss of this nice “family”
/I tried to make an appointment with him but the secretary always says he is away or busy. After I left a few messages with my name he never called me back./
Besides there was one more interesting detail that gives me the right to call this business “criminal gang”.
I bought a small Toyota Yaris -2 doors. Instead the document says that I bought 4 doors Toyota Yaris which is more expensive /about $22000.
You are smart enough to understand what is going on in this dealership. They buy a small car for $10000 / my guess, nobody knows the real
price/
Then they sell it for the price of a big expensive car. A buyer has to pay to a bank till the rest of his life.
And car dealership shares this extra money. They don’t even have to pay income tax because these are hidden charges nobody knows about
and nobody can find it. Of course the extended warranty is total fake so is “Road membership”.
Total amount that has been stolen from my pocket is $5942 And I am paying 10% APR to a bank.
Scam ! Fraud !
This is Plaza Auto Mall in Brooklyn, NY – FRAUD !
Do no go there ! Thieves !
You are definitely right they are crooks. I advise anyone not to go there. I never wrote up a review before but I felt that people should know about them. My situation with them is so extensive that I’m not even going to start to write what they did to me. The finance guy is the biggest crook of them all! He will sit in front of you and lie as if you are a child with no type of education or sense. UNBELIEVABLE! If you ever have to use their service department make sure you double check your car for any scratches, dents or bumps because they are very careless with peoples car. Once you take the car back home you can’t say they did anything to it so double check before and after taking the car back.
Our finance managers are here to assist customers into the car they want and we have to share all the information the bank sends back to us. Our service department is very efficient department with a high volumn of car coming in for service and you had damage done to your vehicle we advise customers to let us know when they pick up their vehicle.

My Plaza Auto Mall reviewDue to a fuel pump failure on our 2003 Honda Accord, my husband and I were almost stranded in Brooklyn with our children. This was about six months ago. After calling several mechanics and service departments at dealerships, my husband was very discouraged by the help he received on the phone. We decided to go to Plaza Honda. When we came to Plaza Honda, the service manager took our car in immediately. We could not have asked for a more customer friendly environment. The prompt service was amazing! Our car was towed into Plaza Honda in the morning, and our vehicle was ready for pick up that afternoon. Just in time for us to leave town. My only regret is that I was unable to recall the service manager’s name to personally thank him in this note. We would definitely recommend Plaza Honda for their impeccable service, courteous staff, and easy payment option with their Auto Mall credit card. They were a lifesaver.

DO NOT GET FINANCING FROM THEM! Do not give them the balance on a purchase until you have verified that all is satisfactory with your vehicle. Watch the fees that they tack on and challenge them, don’t fall for their reason on transporting, taxes, inspection.
I put a deposit down on a 2010 Santa Fe on Aug 14,2012 and during the week there was a power problem. My car only had to be detailed and a few other cosmetic issues. As of today, aug 17, 2012 they have not figured out how to clean the stain on the back seat. I was told that in order to get my deposit back, I would have to bring in a copy of the paid check. I stood there and called my bank who told me the check was cashed on Aug. 15,2012 . I told the salesperson that they would have to reimburse me the charge if they wanted a copy of the paid check. We will be in court!! Today, if the car is not ready to my cleanliness standard which is beyond me how you would want to sell anyone a preowned car that is dirty on the inside.I will be going to a more customer friendly dealer with great reviews. They will never get a recommendation from my friends who are looking at purchasing a Honda at the end of 2012.
We apologize for the power outage, this was out of our hands since a transformer outside got damaged due to high temperatures. Con Edison did their best to fix it and was done in one day. Please feel free to stop by our dealership to discuss the matter with one of our sales managers.
