There was definitely extreme pressure to buy the car, not only was I in dire need for one, but when I was looking into signing the papers the guy proposing the deal to me said "We have had other people looking into buying this car, so if you don't want it..." as if I needed to make the decision quickly before it was too late. Along with being pushy, the sales person was a bit inappropriate (however I won't get into details), and uninformed about the car. I thought that I was buying the car for a fair price, however issues started arising shortly after getting it (and these things were undisclosed by the dealer). Now, I expected to put some elbow grease into this car, however the repairs it needs are too many, and too expensive (for the price of the car). Generally, my experience with this company has been a poor one.

I would not advise going to this dealer for business, for a few reasons. First of all, I talked with the owner of the business (about the problems with my car) and he informed me that he buys the cars from auctions and does not necessarily have time to look them over mechanically before putting them on the market. I think that this is something EVERY buyer should know, because I was unaware of this fact at the time, and had I known this I would not have purchased the car from OCC (where it is overpriced), but instead gone directly to the auction itself.
Secondly, the aura of dealerships makes a buyer think that the dealer himself is credible from the get go - however, this business has little concern with the mechanics of the car (which is the important part) and cares more for aesthetics, which allows for their "clean" car's advertisements.

If you are looking into buying a car from OCC, take it to a mechanic you can trust.

I bought a 2000 Montero Sport from them a week ago. A day after buying it I found an oil leak(cam gasket seal) while I was filling the gas tank and checking oil levels. When I checked the oil the dipstick read nothing... later found the horn doesn't work.
I forgot to check the spare tire when looking the car over. When I got home I found it had no spare tire, or jack, or lug wrench.
I had looked at the car a week before I bought it. The body was in very good condition at the time. When I went back to test drive/buy a week later I found the bumper alignment was off. The owner told me he would fix it, and drove me to the auto body shop and scheduled an appointment to meet me at the shop a few days later at 9AM. When I went to the shop he didn't show, I called the dealership to ask where he was and they told me he was at an auction, and was a very busy person. I gave them my phone # and asked for him to return my call, didn't happen. They didn't pay to repair the bumper. When told about the oil leak/lack of oil the dealer told me cars we sold "as is." I asked if he was comfortable selling a car with out oil and he repeated "as is, that's why it they are so cheap."
The car looked very nice, and with ~ $1000 of work will be in good condition, but I feel some things were hidden from me(I also over looked some things). I looked very hard for that oil leak and found nothing during the test drive. I knew this particular leak was a problem with monteros. I guess the "bubble gum" fell off after I bought it.
I recommend you do no business with this company, or at the very least bring the car to an unassociated mechanic before buying it.

Default Update on Oregon Car Connection... NO

Also, while driving the owner back from the auto body shop he asked me how I felt about the experiences I've had with other dealers. I told him no offense but I've had many bad experiences with used car dealers and don't trust many of them. He explained to me why he opened the shop... "I figured if i couldn't be the other Scu..bags then I shouldn't be in business."Brian, you aren't beating them, and you shouldn't be in business. I doubt it will last much longer for you.

I bought a vehicle that obviously had a bad transmission that the dealer covered up during the test drive by telling me where to go on the test drive and overfilling the transmission fluid so that it would not be noticed on the test drive. Dealer did not disclose all exsisting problems with the vehicle prior to selling it. Their contract assumes full disclosure and half an hour after getting it off the lot I found out it disingages the engine at 35 mph, when it tries to shift to 4th gear. When I took it back to the dealer they said that is was probably the overdrive on the transmission and after trying to reason with them they still refused to do anything about it. They also said I could still drive it in 3rd gear. This was the only money I had and now I have a vehicle that does not go into 4th gear and no money to buy a new vehicle.
