These guys started out so nice, but not so nice now that we've only owned the car for 17 days and had it into their service department 5 times going on 6 this morning. They give a 30 day guarantee, but won't take the car back. Their mechanic doesn't speak much English and they don't produce a report of what the computer says when the 'check engine' light comes on, they just scribble codes on a piece of paper and tell us what they THINK it is. They also don't provide service reports so that we would have a written record of the work that has been done IF IN FACT THE ARE DOING ANY WORK AT ALL. They describe what they have done, but are hard to understand. We bought a piece of junk (not easy when you buy a Toyota) and they are doing nothing to show good faith.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS USED CAR LOT.
Tim Mostamandi is the owner and will not return our calls.
Cut your losses and buy elsewhere.
I will happily write another review if they redeem themselves, but in the mean time I'm trying to save others the headaches we are experiencing.

On February 7, 09 we bought a Chevy Tahoe from National City Auto. The day we purchased the car, the salesman, manager & finance supervisor were all very nice.. They all made us feel like we we're buying a reliable car from an honest dealer. The manager promised with a smile and a handshake"If you have any problems, bring it back and we'll take care of it, no problem, you have my word!" We started having problems the day after we drove it off the lot, the check engine light came on. The next morning I called them.. No one was in that could help me, call back later. We called them over 37 times, everytime we called there was a different excuse as to why they couldnt help us.
On April 22, 09 the transmission went out. Have called them over a dozen times, they won't talk to us at all now. The minute they heard "I'm having problems with the car you sold me" the smiles and promises we're gone.. We paid over $11,000 for a vehicle we can't use anymore, I can't afford to fix it, we're making payments on a car that drove for less than 4 months....

Default Comment on An $11,000 mistake!

You need to report them to the Bureau of Automotive repair and the DMV. They could very well lose their license be shut down because they are breaking laws. The same thing is happening to us.
