I saw a car I wanted on the web. I called and a sales person told me it was sold. Another called me back immediatly and said they actually had it. I asked if he was sure and provided the lot number listed on the internet. He said “yes, we have it,” and pleasantly offered to pick me up in the morning since I was without a car. Morning came, he called and pushed back the time by hours twice, then showed up even later. He took me out there and showed me a newer, more expensive car of the same model and said “Here it is.” I told him, “this isn’t it, I read you the lot number, year and price.” He insisted that this was the car I wanted to see, though it was a few years newer and a few thousand more! I asked him to take me home and he said he couldn’t do that and accused ME of wasting HIS time! I had to call someone for a ride home. I was furious.
They promised us the moon on pricing and financing on a vehicle they didn’t have on the lot, but found in MN. Our salesman Mark said they would be call that dealer to get the vehicle here and would call me the next day, then had us sign a blank deal sheet because they “can’t fill in the vehicle info and VIN number until its here”, even tho that info is on the invoice they showed me. Well, we didn’t hear anything from him the next day as promised, so at 5pm I called them and got transferred to at least 5 different people and had to call back twice because I was “disconnected”. Finally talked to the store manager Vince, explained my situation and he said he would have Mark call me back. 45 minutes later, Mark finally calls and told me that the vehicle was already sold and we would have to order one, which will take 12 weeks, so all my coupons & cash back (direct from Ford)are invalid, so of course we tell him no deal, thanks anyway. What’s making me nervous is they have that blank deal sheet with our signatures on it AND our credit apps. I explained this to Mark and told him I want that info back and the deal sheet destroyed, but have yet to have that happen and can’t get anyone to assist. After reading other reviews, it sounds like we are not the only ones they have done this too. Big mistake going here, and will tell everyone I know to avoid this place like the plague.
We purchase a used vehicle through Rusty Eck. Prior to signing the paperwork we noticed that the driver side mirror was not working and radio had a problem. We were promised that the mirror would be fixed. We did not finalize paperwork until a week later but during that weeks time the amplifier in the vehicle went out. We contacted Allan the finance guy and he said NO PROBLEM because the warranty we purchased covered it. TO DATE we have received no help on this. I call repeatedly and I just get the run around. Now they say they wil probably fix the mirror but now Allan doesn’t work here so they can’t prove the radio/amplifier issue. What a rip off!!! I refused to sign the paperwork in front of Allan the finance rep until to confirmed that the mirror and radio would get taken care of. Now that he is gone, we have no way of proving anything. Now we get the cold shoulder and it is like pulling teeth to get anyone to call us back. I am reporting them to the state licensing board for vehicles. I will report to newspapers and news stations until someone pays attention. We have contacted an attorney and will be persuing that if we don’t get a response soon from Rusty Eck!! I SHOULD HAVE READ THESE POSTS PRIOR TO PURCHASING FROM THEM!!
I got email offer of a $200 gift card for coming into the dealership, and test driving a new car. I was concerned because my husband got his truck at Rusk Eck when I was not with him while he was truck shopping. He got his truck there,I came in and signed the paper work. I worked at Ford Credit and know they were good. But I was concerned because I had always gotten my cars at Ashley. Well, his truck had problems and needed work. He was treated terrible in the repair dept. I called Ford’s main office and made the complaint. I called Ashley, and they fixed his truck ASAP,and were great. I got got a call from the service manager at Rusky and said they were sorry, said they were working to improve service. So when I got my email I went into the dealership thinking I might trade my 2008 Fusion. I was pressured big time. I asked for the trade in information, and price for a new Fusion. So I could go have lunch and decide with my husband. I told them honest means everything to me. I had to ask for the gift card. I went and checked out the so called gift card. And it was a spam. The gift card was http://www.totallyfreeshoppingspree.com. And after checking it out,i know why they did not want me to leave. Because the gift card is a joke. This dealership is not honest, and high pressure. I will buy a new car,but not there. Please people go to Ashely Ford in Omaha. They are low pressure and honest. Beware!
DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR RUSTY EEEEEEKKKKKKK FOUND ON THE ROAD DEAD ***** DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THERE ****They sold me a vehicle with frame damage and never told me…..They will do it to you too…………
*******THEY ARE COCKROACHES***** ANOTHER CREEP FROM THE MIDDLE EAST THAT LOOKS LIKE A TERRORIST
I started looking for a car in the beginning of march. I drove to a couple Ford dealerships and stopped at Rusty Eck Ford. Salesman Tim Mangianelli showed me a new mustang which is what I was somewhat interested in. I filled out some credit paperwork and told him what I was interested in.. He said he would look to see if they could find something. I came back a couple days later to which I had an appointment with the salesman. I got there on time and waited for over an hour before I was helped at all. I left to come back another day. When I came back next time he said he found a few cars for me. I looked at a few and said this one is somewhat close so lets see what we can do. They said I had to put down a deposit to secure the car at the other dealership but did not sign anything at the moment saying I would legally buy this car. I came back the next day and Tim had some paperwork ready. I tried to ask what the price of the car was and he wouldn’t tell me. He just kept trying to push me into the finance office. Once I got into the finance they put all the paperwork in front of me. I began to sign one and then stopped and said this isn’t right right. These numbers are not what I agreed to. Sean Teinert said that my payment would be at a different amount. The finance guy said what’s wrong. I told him that the payment and price was too high. He said ok and took the sales document from me and put it in the trash. Since It was Saturday he said you can come back Monday and Ill run some numbers for you and see what I can do. Tim Mangiamelli called me on Monday the 15th and said if we get this car it is going to have 750 miles on it. Will you be ok with that. I wasn’t too sure about and said I would call him back. Since I was at work. I called Tim Mangianelli And told him that I did not want to buy the car. He asked me why and I said the terms were not right, the payment, the miles etc.. He TOLD ME that he would tell them to not pick up the car then and I would be out to pick up my down payment this week. On Thursday may 19 I went out to get my down payment. Tim called me again on Thursday the 19th and said we have your car. I went in to go get my money back then Tim approached me and was still trying to sell me the car. I said no I do not want it. I want my down payment back. He said he would see what he could do. Minutes later he pulled me in the finance office with all the paperwork. I told the finance guy I did not want the car. The sales manger them came in and said do you remember this document. I said no then he let me see it closer and it was the sales document that was supposedly thrown in the trash. He said you signed right here saying you would buy this car. I said that’s incorrect because on the sales agreement it specifically says that the sales manager has to also sign the document while in my presence to make this a legal binding document. I told him that and said I wanted to see the general manager. He came into the room calling me liar and yelling at me. I told him that I told Tim on Monday that I did not want to buy the car. He pulled Tim into the room and asked him that. Tim then said he never told me that he would tell them to not pick up the car. I told him that Tim was lying to him. I pointed at the sales agreement and said this is not right why do think only my signature is on it and not both.. He threw the paper and began yelling at me and calling me a liar again. He said he would not give my 2000 down payment back cause it cost them money to go gee the car. I told them that’s not my fault that you still went to get the car after I told you I did not want it. I told them on Monday I did not want the car. They did not leave till Tuesday or Wednesday to go get this car. They could have avoided this if they would communicate with each other and now I’m ending up paying for there mistake. The sales agreement shows that they went and got the car without making sure the paperwork was complete. They violated there own legal sales agreement. They took my money and owe me 1498.98. Vince Armijo GM said he would only refund me some of my money. They gave me a check for 502.45. I told the sales manager Sean Teinert that I was going to talk to my lawyer and he told to go for it. I talked to another car dealership and they said that Rusty Eck Ford cant do that. They told me to contact the better business bureau which I have done. I still have not heard from Rusty Eck Ford in this matter.
No I would not recommend this dealership. That was a typo.
🙂
This is more like a frat house running a dealership. Low level of professionalism. I was shocked by the way I was treated. I would not buy anything from this organization.
I found a car on the internet and set up an approximate time to see the vehicle. Showed up and ‘someone was working on a contract on it”, so I was shown other vehicles. I was told one model was rare (it wasn’t), their Shelby has a “Regional Market Up” of $15K above sticker which is not normal. The worse was that the person I had set up the appointment with had to leave as he had to go pick up diamond ear rings for his girlfriend so he passed me on to someone else. Are you kidding me? This car sales experience was like a flashback to the 1980’s. The experience at all the other area Ford dealers was much better–go there!
This was the worst buying experience in my life. The sales staff was dishonest, rude and everything but courteous. They would not give us our title back when we stated we were going elsewhere because it was “locked up”. We waited on two separate occassions for more than 6 hours for a “deal” to happen. The allowed us to leave the lot under the impression that the financing went through, only to get a call a MONTH later saying it wasn’t. Funny, how we then went to a different dealership and got a better deal, newer car with a lower interest rate. But Rusty Eck said that would never be possible. BULL CRAP! I can’t say it enough NOT to buy from these people. They have fired more people because of dishonest sales and financial tactics; it’s pitiful. This same thing happend to two close friends of mine too within a month of each other. Buyer beware…. do NOT go here.
The entire process of buying my new Escape was the best I’ve ever had. I first contacted the dealership through an email, was responed to promptly, and teated with respect when I went in to complete the sale. The new manager Vince even came out personally to thank me for my visit. I would definitely recommend this dealership!
I purchased my truck at woodhouse and they have terrible service thats why I switched to Rusty Eck about a year ago !
had a truck locked down in a contract and they said they could get to me in 24 hr but this was not true. they would not let me know were it was coming from. later they said they could not get it so i locked down a different truck and they said they could get it the next day still they did not say where it was coming from later i found out it was in the same town but they could not get it either.
my word of advise is make sure they can get it and that you see it on there lot if not dont sign anything and dont leave your trade inn until the auto is there as they will try to put you into somthing different. also it should not take 4 hrs to go through and buy a auto.
these people got a lot to learn
I should have known from the most annoying car commercial out there that I would be overly annoyed by my experience at Rusty Yuck Ford. I wish I had read the bad reviews first. I tried to buy a year old truck and was told I should be able to get the deal made between myself and the salesman – then as we were sitting there they took the keys away and said they had to take the truck “next door” I wondered what was going on as they stalled us for quite awhile. After just sitting there waiting for a while my wife and I then were told that they could not accept my offer and the truck was sold to someone else!!! What a scummy greedy way to do business! The manager was a complete ass! I have never been treated with such disrespect, especially when making a 23k deal! I will tell everyone I know to steer clear of this place!!!
I took my cash and excellent credit elsewhere and bought a newer truck where they treated me with honesty and respect.

Lots of pressure right from the start. Lots of lies and cover ups…found out later.
Lied to, but dealership tried to make it right, but screwed that up too. It was like amateur hour there.
Do not take there word for anything! They are truely a representation of what a bad managed dealership run’s like. They are the type of dealer that creates the image of a BAD AUTO SALES FORCE.
Bad image already in the short time they have been open and now I see why!!!!
DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM!!!!!
On August 3, 2009, my wife and I purchased a used 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad cab from Rusty Eck Ford of Omaha, agreement made between Robert *sales manager, and Johnny Taylor, sales rep. The agreement was to purchase the vehicle with no trade, while financing cash for taxes as well. On that evening, we made arrangements to purchase, and I asked Robert (Bob) if my wife and I could come back to do the financing paperwork tomorrow, as it was already about 10:00 pm. Bob said no. We finished the paperwork and walked out around 11:15pm. Johnny said extra keys (since the auto was on consignment by brother of finance managers brother in law, Derwin) would be delivered the next day.On August 4, my wife and I stopped by and the keys were not there. Derwin said that his brother in law was an electrician and on scaffolding and would not be able to make it in that day. He thought by Friday. On August 7th, my wife and I again, stopped by. The keys were not available. Same story from Derwin.I gave Derwin until Monday, and still no keys. Finally, on Monday, my wife and I stopped by and no keys were there. My wife and I spoke with Jay Hofferber, Sales Manager, and apologized for the inconveniences, said he would fill up my tank and he would be in touch with me and get the keys.I did not hear anything from Jay until I called him on August 19th. I called Jay. He was very nasty with me, very defensive. I requested that I would like the keys by that Friday or I would seek legal counsel to seek any remedies. At this point, I am still awaiting the title to available at the dealership so I can sign, for the county to send to the bank, so I may receive money to pay taxes. I have spoken with General Manager, Wayne Jackson at the dealership. Wayne said on August 28th that Lucas, title guy, was going to work on it that afternoon and give it to Wayne. Wayne was then going to call me. I did not hear from Wayne.Since I purchased this automobile, I have not had any customer service help with anyone. Out of the hundreds of calls I have placed to the dealership, I have not had 1 call returned. I am willing to submit phone records!I am requesting the title immediately with funds to pay for taxes as they are due September 2nd. If it cannot be provided, I am requesting the return of the pickup.
Also turned over to BBB and seeking attorney review.
I did get them the second set of keys. I also mailed them to the customer BJ Strohmyer. The keys were in the possesion of the previous owner, which I repeatedly told BJ. As soon as I recieved them I mailed them to him. I would like to also say I followed them outside as I saw they were un-happy and did all I could to resolve the situation within my power and ability. Come to find out, for doing the right thing I am concidered the bad guy. If BJ would have handled the situation without threats, the entire situation would have been resolved fine. Mrs. Strohmyer was very nice and easy to work with and seem to understand what we were up against. She also called me and was very nice and approximately 4 days later they had there 2nd set of keys. BJ seems to think that threats of legal action and contacting the BBB is the way to go. I am in the customer service business and do all I can to help with every situation, some are out of my hands but I still give them the highest priority. Sorry that BJ felt I did not, that is never my goal!!
