Making this as short as possible, I bought an Impala SS from the dealership just under a year ago. I knew more about the car and GM Certified Warrany than he did. Scott tried to be nice but was a smart a$$ too. I'm 23 so I was treated like I could be taken advantage of, however I'm outspoken, know about cars, and stand up for myself. I bought the car from Green ONLY because of the car, and not the dealership whatsoever. 12/mo 12000/mi GM Certified Warranty on the car when I bought it. But the Certification Inspection wasn't done. Had to bring the car back to have it done and issues corrected. Was told they would cover a rental car and gas for the trouble (I live 45 min away). Refused to pay for gas when I returned the rental. Picked up the car after inspected. Still had minor pblms that weren't corrected. Took it back again. Some still aren't taken care of a year later. Used a different service shop. They had to break off locking lug nuts because Green didn't provide a key beyond the fact that the inspection requires all lugs be OEM. In a service shop again after 9,XXX miles. Front brakes were GONE! Tie rod ends needed replaced, busted strut, hubs needed replaced because a "wheel was about to FALL OFF" (service tech quote), bad battery, warped rotors, leaking power steering, tire sensor bad. I was told by a GM certified mechanic and service manager that this car was NOT inspected at the time of sale or the problems that failed inspection were intentionally not repaired per GM's requirements. They didn't even provide me with a copy of the inspection like is required! I bought a car that was suppose to be free of all issues because of an inspection and guaranteed to be free from issues for a year or they'll fix it. Green Chevrolet said screw this customer we'll just not fix the problems now and maybe the customer won't notice! Thank you Todd Spencer of Davis Pontiac GMC in Canton for fixing the problems right, the first time, that Green Chevrolet decided to screw me with! In the end i'm left with a car free of problems after being in the shop 5+ times at my hassle and $200+ in repair bills the bumper to bumper warranty didn't cover because Russ Hines and Kevin Doran of Green Chevrolet DIDN'T DO THEIR JOBS per GM guidelines. All I wanted was my $211.14 that you owe me for repairs to my vehicle that you overlooked to save a buck... that should have been corrected prior to sale per a GM Certified vehicle's inspection guidelines (the inspection that they didn't do). So here you go Green Chevrolet...$211.14 worth the advertisement that will hopefully show potential customers the truth about your business!
I Recently purchased a mustang from green chevrolet in Peoria. They had one listed for a while that I wanted to look at, however when I called over to see it they had already sold it. Instead what they did for me was ask exactly what I wanted in a mustang, I told them and they went out and bought one from another dealership (almost to the exact specifications I wanted). I never felt pressured at all, and James did a really great job at helping me purchase my first car. He never went into any big tactics or tried to get me to change my mind on anything. I am a really busy person, and I have been to a lot of dealerships throughout the last year, most of them ending up frustrating and feeling like i wasted so much time, this was by far the best experience I have had. I never felt flustered or pressued in any way while working with them. Its a very good feeling to get into a car that I was very comfortable buying and I would strongly recommend James or the dealership to anyone interested in purchasing a vehicle

I had been looking for a certain type of car for several months. I was looking locally in my town then started searching on the internet and came across the car I wanted at Green Chevrolet. I phoned to make sure the car was still there and then took a day to go over and check it out/test drive. My salesman, Mike was very nice, upfront and the experience for the most part was good. Everyone would like even a lower price when they come out of a dealership but I got the car I wanted and a good price. I would definitely recommend Green Chev/Hummer in Peoria and ask for Mike - good guy ! Thanks !!
We have purchased 3 vehicles from Green in the last 5 years and every experience has been a great one. No pressure, just honest answers and helpful people. They let us test drive as many differrent models we wanted to and the sales person not once showed any disrespect or gave us one of those looks like oh brother will you people make up your mind! They were all helpful with each purchase.
Highly recommend Green Chevrolet for your next purchase.
This dealership has the classic stereotypical sleazy sales people and offers barely operable vehicles.
My husband and I found what we thought was the perfect vehicle over the internet. The downside was that it was at Green Chevrolet HUMMER in Peoria, which is about 250 miles from where we live. My husband called the dealership and was connected with sales person, Adam Little. My husband told Adam what vehicle he was interested in. My husband also stated that he needed a second reliable vehicle for transportation to get to his cancer treatments. My husband told Adam this seemed like the perfect car & we did not want to waste the trip for an unreliable vehicle. My husband specifically asked if there was anything he needed to know about so we did not waste the trip and that the vehicle would need to make it the 250 miles back. Adam said that there was a donut tire, but they would put a new tire on the car. He even made it sound like they were giving us a deal, 4 tires on the car! Isn't the law for a dealership to sell vehicles with 4 tires? We should have known at this point it was not worth the headache. Adam stated that it was otherwise in sound condition and would make the trip back, no problem.
So, we make a 250 mile, 4 & 1/2 hour drive to the dealership. We make this drive with my terminally ill husband, who expected to have to drive home so he did not bring any pain medication. We also made this drive with our 3 children ages 4, 2 & 3 months. We made this long trip to get a car we thought was perfect, to experience this:
Adam was so busy closing a BMW deal when we got there, he really didn't want to waste any time on us. Of course, since he already claimed us no other sales person would help us. He showed us the vehicle, handed us the keys. He said "OH yah, there's a leak in the exhaust line so it makes a loud noise." He said ,"Drive it around the block, I'm in the middle of closing a BMW deal." He then went back inside. I was not impressed with his customer service skills.. You don't let one person you are trying to sale a car too know that the deal you are doing right now is much more important than they are. Of course, Adam is not a good sales person and obviously does not know this basic Customer Service rule.
So we test drive the vehicle and here is what happens; you push the pedal to the floor and it takes about 3 minutes to get up to 35 mph. Then you get to a stop light & have to do the whole pedal to the floor thing again. The vehicle had an awful burning smell and all kinds of smoke was coming out of the engine. It even started sputtering and putting. There was no way this vehicle was going to make it 50 miles, much less 250 miles back home. We were afraid to even try test driving it on the interstate.
I could not believe any human person, even a sales person, would let a terminally ill person drive over 4 hours to come test drive a piece of crap, a vehicle he KNEW was a piece of crap. He probably wanted to try to con us into financing something more expensive, then couldn't waste the time since he was in the middle of his BMW deal.
We interrupted his BMW deal, handed him the keys and said "No thanks." The only thing Adam said was "I don't even know what to say." Well I know what to say and it should have been said over the phone before we made the long drive, "You know, this vehicle you are are interested in is NOT what you are looking for. It is not really worth the drive out here. I DO have this vehicle that is just what you need and i can make you a great deal!" If Adam would have done this, he probably could have made an extra sale. Of course, Green Chevrolet obviously does not want to invest in any Sales or Customer Service training for their employees, so Adam does not know how to make a positive sale. Adam, I am a firm believer in Karma. What comes around goes around. It will come back to you.
I cannot believe that any respectable dealership would even try to sell this type of vehicle, much less let someone test drive it. All it does is build a bad reputation & word of mouth.
So, we made the 4 & 1/2 hour trip home.
My husband sick with cancer and with no pain pills (since we expected him to drive the 2nd vehicle home) suffered the whole way there and the whole way home. My three children under 5 were cooped up all day long. All of this so we could test drive a lemon. It would have been worth it if we were able to come home with the vehicle we were so sure we wanted.
Do not go to this dealership unless you want to be lied to, test drive a lemon and given a huge headache. I don't even want to know what other people experience who purchase vehicles through this dealer, I'm sure they end up with all kinds of mechanical problems.
Do I recommend this dealer? NO!
