My Jersey City Ford Lincoln reviewI had the same exact experience as John below… Their entire dealership is one big scam . Only people that buy form them are the uninformed car buyers, who do not have all their details sorted and can’t keep track of what the sales person promises and what the CLOSER writes it up as… the sales manager is nothing more than a CON ARTISTS getting you into the car you were promised only at $1000 or more than what you should pay… WATCH OUT FOR THEM..
I had worked with the internet sales team for weeks on a new car. Each time I was told they were still working on it and getting me a quote etc. It literally took 2.5 weeks to finally get someone to give me the information I needed.
On a saturday afternoon I followed up and they told me they had the car I wanted (including all the options) provided me a vin # and told me to come down to sign and drive. They gave me a good price on the car so I dropped everything and headed down to their dealership with my 2 year old. I am literally 15 minutes from their dealership.
I drove down there and from the time I was on the phone to the time I got to them took no longer than 15 minutes but when I get there…. GUESS WHAT. The salesperson tells me.. THEY JUST FINISHED selling the car to someone else…
SO I asked them to point out the buyer to me.. that when they started to fumble and change their story.. then it was well they just left they are not here they are coming to pick the car up tomorrow.
Then the sales manager comes over to try and “FIX” the situation and ends up telling me they actually sold the car to an employee and his family member and can’t share that info… can any smell a GOOD BAIT ANS SWITCH???
So the only option he could give me was a similar car which they would have to pull form another dealer from me but it would cost me an additional $750 above what they quoted me on the phone. After having spent 45 min trying to get this resolved I gave in and agreed… but they couldn’t be happy with the extra $750 they scammed me on.
When we went to write up the lease they started to give me the old well the incentives are different now story so there is an additional $500 charge because of incentives not being available…
I spent 2 hours at the dealership with a frustrated 2 year old… and had to leave without the car… TALK ABOUT SCAM ! ! Bait and Switch ! ! be careful with these guys.. go in informed or they will add charges to your invoice . VERY SHADY!!!

My Jersey City Ford Lincoln reviewI’ve been leasing my cars from this dealership for the last 15 years or so and this time my experience with them was completely horrific and sooo disappointing. I always had a fantastic relationship and always spoke highly of them. I even brought my boyfriend over and he leased from them and had nothing but issues. They almost ruined his credit because they didn’t pay off his trade in, despite several phone calls to them but their empty promises almost cost him big. For me it’s been even worse because aside from the issues that I’ve experienced they have flat out ignored my emails, text messages and phone calls. I’ve been a loyal customer to them for years but the staff that was there is gone and I get the feeling that the staff that is there now only care about you and are responsive when they are still waiting for you to come in and buy but once you sign on the dotted line you are nothing but a $ sign to them and they don’t bother with you anymore. I am so extremely disappointed, hurt and stressed about this whole thing. I never thought I would be writing a bad review about this dealership but they haven’t given me much of a choice. I have given them every opportunity to contact me and respond and they have instead chosen to ignore me. My next complaint will be to Ford and then the BBB. It’s unfortunate that things have come to this. And it’s not just one person they all suffer from the same lack of respect and loyalty to the very customers that have been loyal to them throughout the years. Buyers beware…this dealership is not what it used to be. Don’t let their smiles and pleasantries fool you. That only lasts as long as every thing is perfect. And don’t blame the sales person…it’s management that ties their hands.
I had similiar issues and contacted BBB. My Honda lease buyout was done three days later. They also registered my Expedition as a passenger commercial pickup. They tried getting $200 more from me. This was fixed as well. They also refused to answer my calls and was given wrong email addresses. They kept changing Rudy Tremenios letters around. I was told it was Tro, Tra, Tru. The only good thing was the free coffee especially when they make you sit and wait for hours to talk to someone in charge.

I was assigned Debbie Negin as my service advisor and let me tell you she was “AWESOME”. From the beginning she was on top of things and she was very detailed about the process regarding my 2011 Ford Edge. She made me feel very comfortable and I was able to work with her because of her honesty and clear cut explanations. Employees such like Debbie need or should be commended about their daily duties and job responsibilities. I have been there about 3 times prior to meeting Debbie and in all honesty my experience was not that all efficient and the wait times were killers. I know your shop is very very busy but to see someone like Debbie with her smile, explain the entire contents of what will be done, how long along it will take along with her honesty, I have no complaints. Working in the customer service field (Myself), I experienced Debbie’s ability to multitask and adapt to change in that type of hectic environment. GREAT JOB DEBBIE!!! and thank the cashiers too! They answered every question with patience, even if it was asked twice. They went above and beyond the normal experience to make sure everything was taken care of and they truly looked and acted like they really enjoyed doing it. Every person that you encounter when buying a car from Jersey City Ford knows what they are selling and take pride in their cars. They have me as a customer and my family and I would go out of my way to recommend Jersey City Ford to everyone
Rudy is a crook. He stalled on my Honda lease buyout. The dealership registered my Ford Expedition as a passenger commercial pickup truck. They refused to abide by NJ Motor Vehicle website and contacts. The salesman said “we don’t go by their information.” They tried charging me $200.00 more. I finally contacted Better Business Bureau. My buyout was done three days later and they fixed my registration to wc8 which was the information I kept telling them. I also called several other ford dealers about registration and confirmed my info. Meanwhile, this whole time they refused to answer phone calls. I would not recommend even to my enemies as they say. I refuse to get my suv serviced there.
Rudy is a snake. The only thing he listens to is if you threaten to sue them. You need to send a letter to Rudy and describe problems and what the solutions should be. That is the only way to get their attention as I have found out hard way. Watch out for hidden fees to. I think all of us should file a class action lawsuit against dealer?

My Jersey City Ford Lincoln reviewJersey City Ford sold us two vans on which they had received half their value by certified check. The vehicles arrived the following night after 10pm instead of 7am that morning. The contracts for the vehicles were brought at that time instead of given to the person that signed them. During their review, it turned out that we got ripped off for more than $12,000 altogether on those contracts, however because they were signed, the dealer had assured as that it’s too bad. What is too bad is that the person doing the original negotiations was held at the dealer for more than 6 hours and was unable to stay during the signing of the contract and the person responsible was told that they had been reviewed and to speed things up all he needed to do was to SIGN.
Jersey City Ford refused to talk to us or cancel our contracts even when we were in the 72-hr grace period. After that period, they made us sign another letter saying that they can’t change anything on the contracts, but are willing to give us a partial refund on their profit from the extended warranty.
At that time they were also to revise the contracts accordingly with the refund and send it for processing to Ford Credit so that we don’t get excessive monthly charges. None of that has happened, in fact, Ford Warranty had advised our company that the warranty can be cancelled at any point in time and that that information was in the contract…if we only received it. It turned out that we are missing 15 undisclosed pages of the contract which listed all the terms and conditions and which should have been disclosed prior to signing.
Therefore, we initiated the cancellation of the entire warranty on both vehicles only to find out that only one warranty was registered on one vehicle (We were charged $3,500 on each vehicle and the actual cost of the warranty as per another dealer should be $1,800).
We have now involved a lawyer in this situation, as Jersey City Ford is ignoring all our forms of communication and is not cooperating with anything including the refund of warranty which has already been cancelled through Ford Warranty and revision of contracts to exclude the warranty and all the other rip-off items. We were also supposed to receive a refund of the difference in dmv registration costs and have not heard anything at all.
To this day, we are paying the monthly payments from the original rip-off contract which we are not in possession of as it was taken away by Jersey City Ford at the time of signing the other deceitful letter and no one has contacted us since mid-October regarding this case.

My Jersey City Ford Lincoln reviewJersey City Ford has treated me like a second class citizen as soon as I signed to purchase an SUV from them. They say,”are you happy with the car? Is there anything we can do?”, yet that means nothing to them as they really don’t want to help me at all.
I purchased an ’06 Nissan Xterra (78k miles) from them, withing one day of driving the car the brakes were making a bad screeching sound. I brought the car in and the service employee said that both the front and rear brake pads had to be replaced, as well as either a brake rotor resurfacing, or replacement.
After about 4 days of calling, leaving messages that were never replied to, and being placed on hold time after time, I finally spoke to an actual service manager. He wanted to actually charge me for the parts and work to be done! He explained that brakes ar a “wear and tear part” and not covered under any type of warranty. (despite me putting about 25 miles on the SUV since I bought it). The right thing to do is change the brakes free of charge and they refuse to do so. It’s unacceptable that I have to put money into a truck that I JUST BOUGHT from you.
On top of this, the temporary tags that are on the car are expiring today. I was never notified when my actual plates are going to be in. I just called and the ONE person that deals with license plates happens to be out for the day. After talking with someone, they said that I can come in and get another temporary tag for the time being.
For these reasons I recommending you to STAY AWAY from this dealership.

My Jersey City Ford Lincoln reviewWe visited this dealer for a second time, totally ready to buy a car, and walked out determined never to deal with them again. The dealer told us a car was in stock, but when we got there, they said the car was not there. How could they say it was in stock in that case? They said they meant it was available. They also would not or could not answer questions about price. We needed clear answers because their earlier answers were deceptive. I thought there may have been an honest misunderstanding, but now I think they are dishonest.
please contact me via the response button I am in the process of forming a law suit and your problem was similar as mine. This is not a scam or any other type of solicitation I am just trying to bring to justice to those who were wrong by this dealership
I agree. I had two issues. One was registration and the other was buyout. Rudy Treminio never returns phone calls. I also sent a complaint to BBB. My issue has been going on since early January with hardly any resolve. I get hung up on, put on hold for 20 minutes or transfered around.

They listened to me and spent a great deal of time finding the vechile that was the right fit for me. I test drove several cars and decided on a new Mercury Mariner and couldn’t be happier.
They found me the lowest interest rate and got me to the montly payments I was looking for. I went into the dealership on my own with little car knowledge. The sales team explained everything to me and really built my trust. I never felt intimidated. I would recommend this delearship to anyone I know.

He answered all my question and I did not feel presured at all. I did alot of homework before I went to this dealership and they definitely had the best price for my 08′ Ford Edge within a 25 mile radius. My Jersey City Ford Lincoln reviewI scheduled an appointment online for a specifice car to smooth the process but nothing went easy. My salesperson was so uneducated on the car he knew absolutly nothing about the car wait he said it was clean that was it. They tried to screw me out of my trade in. I got attitude when I didn’t want to finace through them because I went through my own bank like my money wasn’t good enough. They took an entire day to fax the paperwork to my bank total lack of initiative! then they gave the bank the wrong info twice and lied about it. It took 4 days for them to figure out they messed up then they tried to blame it on someone else. I wanted to back out after the 3rd day but couldn’t (total b.s) now I have to wait at least 11 days to get my car all because they couldn’t do their job. Go some where else they are not worth it!!!!:mad:

My Jersey City Ford Lincoln reviewEveryone I encountered at Jersey Cit FLM was extremely unprofessional, sloppy, uneducated, not what i wanted. I was lied to numerous times. It took 7 days for anyone to listen to me and figure out what the problem was. They treated me as though my money was not good enough which is very far from the truth. It took me 11 days to get my car. Totally unexceptable. Avoid this place at all costs!!!
wasted 2 Fridays off work for me. charged me $500 to ‘fix my air conditioning’. lasted for 2 days then wasnt working again. they told me the 2nd time another part was broken and that it sometimes happens when ‘a new part is introduced to the system, another part breaks’. WHAT?!? anyway – 2nd time around would have cost me ANOTHER $2500, thankfully i took it somewhere else. the new technician said theres no way the first time around the problem wasnt evident. i think they knew all along what they were doign and completely ripped me off. At least it was only $500, not $3K. was never offerered a loaner or anything. literally just sat there for 2 full fridays waiting for them.
