My Hillside Honda reviewHillside Honda literally cheated me. I opted for Honda Finance for the car loan. Hillside Honda Finance officer advised me to make the premium payment using Intellipayment service. With this service, I’ll have to make payment biweekly and my interest rate will be reduced by 0.1. The information he didn’t tell me is that this service has lots of fees associated with it. 399 $ program fees, and 2.44 $ Convenience fees (per month). After signing documents I came to know that with reduced interest rate I would save total 6$, however will have to pay 500$+ fees for this service. I have cancelled this service the moment I came to know about these fees, however, Intellipayment is now charging penalty fees of 142 $ for breaking the agreement. When you buy a car there are lots of paper you have to sign and its practically not possible to go through each and every document, and ultimately have to trust the officer who does your paper work, so thats what I did and paying the price.

My Hillside Honda reviewMy advice on these guys is very simple. Get EVERYTHING in writing, BEFORE you come into the dealership. It doesn’t matter what they say on the phone, the staff simply can’t be trusted.
I received a price quote on the phone, and was very clear with the salesman about exactly what we were talking about (model/trim of car, term of lease, total all-in amount upfront, etc.), and that we were talking about the total lease payment, including all taxes and fees. I asked him to fax me the quote so I had it in hand, but he said he couldn’t, since he was “worried I’d shop the deal.” I said OK, and that was my mistake.
So, I came into the dealership a couple of hours later to sign the paperwork, and of course, that salesman “wasn’t available” at that time, but Mohammed, the sales manager said he’d take care of it. When I told him exactly what had been agreed to, he said that he couldn’t sell the car for that price. Then, I said let’s get the salesperson I spoke with out onto the floor, so we could discuss it face to face, but he still “wasn’t available.”
Two ways to look at this: one, they had a rogue salesman who made promises he couldn’t keep. Second (and I’m betting on this one), they never had any intention of meeting the deal they promised in detail, and the whole phone process was an effort to just get me into the door.
Bottom line, unless you have it in writing, it’s worthless at Hillside Honda.
