I am out $187 in towing costs because the first alternator Fitzgeral installed went bad after 1000 miles. My car wouldnt start so it was towed to my new local mechanic, which cost $50, they take one look at it and say its your alternator. I had taken my car to this mechanic because I really wasnt happy with my first service visit at Fitzgerald. My extended warranty wouldnt cover it at the new mechanics due to it being fixed or so called fixed the first time at Fitzgerald. The mechanic verified it was a very shoddy install. So on Fitzgeralds recommendation I used their towing , was told it would be $60 to $70, not happy about that but really had no choice. So Fitzgeralds did give me a loaner, no gas in it, LOL, So as I pick up my car and told that the towing was $137. Talking to them was like talking to a brick wall. The poorest of customer service. I am going to follow this up with taking them to small claims court.
Car taken in on Mon., complete evaluation done according to sales ticket, no problem found. Car towed in on Wed. needing a new transmission! According to them, not covered under warranty and put the blame on the oil change which had taken place almost 3000 miles earlier. Terrible service and obviously less than qualified mechanics.
