After looking through the Sunrise website, the website stated “$15,000 or more off MSRP of Aged Inventory”. I clicked on the View Inventory button and all the new 2015s and new 2016s unsold vehicles appeared. I saw a new 2016 Ford Focus and a new 2016 Ford Fiesta. I printed the webpage and drove to Sunrise Ford. There I met with Tom and I showed him the flier and the two vehicles i wished to purchase with the discount.
He took the information to his internet manager. The internet manager come out to greet us and stated “you don’t expect us to sell you the Ford Fiesta for $5,000 do you?”
I said “yes because your website says so”. I also informed that the webpage did not have an asterisk, or say selected inventory only or say on certain models.
He started to say “what I can do is…”
And my wife stopped him and she said “we can show you YOUR website”.
Amir said “No I’m good”.
I stated “THAT’S BECAUSE YOU ALREADY KNOW WE ARE RIGHT!”
He again attempted distract us by saying, “What I can do is…”
And I interjected and said “No we want the deal you published on YOUR website.”
He stated “We pass.” and walked away immediately like a scared and embarrassed first grader caught in a lie.
Amir did not honor what his website stated.
Wish we had done a little more investigation on this dealership before walking on the lot! Just had the worst car buying experience of our life (not hyperbole – and we buy cars pretty regularly)! In our opinion, they were actively deceptive in the transaction (looking into recourse). One would have thought the days of the proverbial “used car salesman” were a thing of the past (I know, I’m being naive!). DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP! Honesty, Transparency and Integrity are three things WE did NOT experience here.
I worked there selling cars and there were times I wanted to crawl in a hole while they were slamming people into cars.
I had credit issues and was surprised I could buy a new Ford Focus through the dealer – I work there and they tried to screw me too! Unbelievable. They sell me this car which I didn’t want but because I had to bought it – good enough car just not my style..they charged me full price for some dumb alarm $595 and I guess they thought that was okay since they weren’t making a killing on the sale since I was entitled to employee pricing but they had to get money out of me somehow.
Then I go to service and was treated like shit no other words for it – I even complained to Ford about it – I wold run not walk from this dealer – they treat their cutomers and employees with total disregard. They even pressured me into buying this car and tried to make me buy an ugly color I guess they didn’t really know me at all. STAY AWAY GO TO GALPIN
I swear this place was ripped from the minds of Dante, Franz Kafka, and Kurt Vonnegut. It is just that absurd.
I leased my brand new 2012 Ford Fiesta there this year. In just over 4 months, I have had to bring it in for repair FIVE times, four of which were for the same issue. Then another time for a meeting with their customer service manager. In total, that makes five trips there to drop the car off, five trips back to pick it up.
Every time I left, the issue was either not fixed or, even better, it was fixed but something ELSE was broken! I had to take time off work, work late to make up hours, skip lunches, beg rides from friends, etc. A major hassle just to get something I’m already paying for.
Fine. All cars have bugs. I get that. But each time I brought it in, I was told by the “experts” there that I was wrong, everything was fine, it was in my head, there’s nothing we can do about that (one of them, John, even yelled at me when I asked him to listen and stop just telling me what ISN’T wrong with the car – he’s a real peach). It took a special meeting with the customer service manager (who is great, Sally Press is her name) and my demands to see the foreman to finally be heard. After 3 minutes with him, he confirmed there was indeed a huge problem. They gave me a rental and a few days later, it was fixed… but the window is now malfunctioning. I swear, I feel like they’re just messing with me on purpose or something.
And each time they work on your car, you’re given a survey and told that if you don’t give them top scores in every area, they’ll get in trouble and face disciplinary action. Even my Italian grandmother couldn’t guilt trip like that.
When I expressed my concerns to the sales manager (Ron St. John, I feel like I should mention you by name) I was offered 3 full tanks of gas to make up for the inconvenience. Fine, sounds good. However, to get those fillups, I would have to stop by, find him, and ask for a voucher. Then I could go to a nearby station and get the gas. So I had to stop by, hope he’s working, wait for him to finish whatever he’s doing, then ask him if I can please have my voucher like I’m asking for a hall pass to use the bathroom. That… wasn’t gonna work for me. Luckily Sally stepped in at that point and gave me 3 free details and fillups, to which Mr. St. John rolled his eyes and said, “Fine. We’ll have someone else take your car to the gas station for you.” That’s right, Mr. St. John. That’s exactly what you’ll do.
In short (little late for that I guess), avoid this place like the plague. The car dealer stereotypes of sleazy, pushy salesmen, liars, incompetence, laziness, and just overall contempt for the buyer are all alive and well at Sunrise Ford. Do yourself a favor and strap a few flashlights to a shopping cart instead. At least when that malfunctions, you won’t feel so bad about shelling out hundreds of dollars every month for it.
I wish there was an option for negative stars. One is too many for Sunrise Ford.
I leased my brand new car (2012 model) there this year. I wanted the base package, but the extremely pushy salesman convinced me to get the sport package because of the “awesome features.” Without my asking, he snuck out to another location to get me the car of my dreams (ha). Then he told me there was no other car in the area like the one I was asking for. Since my wife and I had been there over 5 hours by that point, I said fine and took the car.

I should also mention that after trip number 3, I asked the repair technician why, if they are constantly having these issues with the cars as I kept hearing from him, don’t they inform the customer of these issues at the time of purchase? He told me, “Well if they’d told you that at the beginning, you’d have gone and gotten a Toyota instead!” Ah, the joys of honest dishonesty.

Ugh. I can’t wait for this lease to run its course so I can shove this car right back up their tailpipes.
Okay, after having Nissans for over 15 years my friend and I deceided to check out ford and see what they had to offer and how they would treat us. We first walked in and told them we wanted certain things on our new car. We wanted leather interior,2012,and the sync system. We test drove the 2012 Edge and loved it. We pulled up to the office and there was a black ford edge in front and the salesman said “Here is your car, everything your looking for and you wanted” We were so excited so he rushed us into the office to do the negotiating. They prolonged the process to the point of breaking you down, everyone should be well aware of this process, just leave and tell them your coming back tomorrow. After 4 hours they made a deal, not the best deal but at that point we just wanted to get the hell out of there. We were rushed into the finance dept and we signed the paperwork with tired eyes and empty stomaches and just worn out. To tell you the truth we thought it was a 2012 at that point and were happy and told the finance guy how happy we were getting the 2012 edge but he never once told us were were getting a 2011. He never read the contract over to us and just told us to sign and initial where he told us to. This place is a total ripoff and bait and switch place! DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE NO MATTER WHAT! We called the insurance company to insure the vehicle the next morning and to our shock they said the vin number said it was a 2011. We called sunrise for immediately and they didnt want to deal with us. The manager called us to give us the run around and nothing was done. Please do not go to this horrible place. By telling everyone this story Im hoping that you will learn from our mistakes. My friend went to Nissan the next week and bought a Rogue and loves it!
They Sold a car and failed to deliver what was promised, DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS. They are the worst when it comes to car dealers
The worst dealer ever. Lures you in with low internet quote. On arrival–oops–there was a mistake in the inventory. They don’t have the car. High pressure to buy something else. Tries to sneak “extras” into contract–useless coating and etching. Dealership is a mess, employees are dishonest and outright rude. AVOID AVOID AVOID. THIS PLACE IS A CONSUMER’S NIGHTMARE.
SUNRISE FORD NORTH HOLLYWOOD are just a big joke…i gave them a check in trust for 33500.00 and they cash it and left me without car….they never got it from another dealer like they said they would …they ARE just unprofessionals…bunch of idiots and on top of that they havent given my check back….stupid too…..im …glad i notiFY BBB and consumer affairs …dont go there just go to galping if u must get a ford……
IF I COULD RATE THEM LOWER I WOULD I HAVE A LOTS OF CUSTOMERS AS AN INSURANCE AGENT AND THEY WILL KNOW
NOT EVEN THE OWNER ANSWERS EMAILS OR CALLS ….
TOTALLY NOT COOL……IM GLAD ..I DID NOT BUY AFTERALL
I had such a positive experience with Sunrise Ford, that I felt compelled to share it with other consumers.
My husband and I had been to a couple of other dealerships in the area, (one rather large one in Van Nuys) and were totally unimpressed with their lack of customer service and their lack of willingness to negotiate. I was getting ready to give birth and was weary of the experience, but needed a larger, safer vehicle. At the suggestion of one of our neighbor’s who’d had a positive experience with Sunrise, we walked in and were very impressed with the way we were treated. I can honestly say that everyone we encountered was kind and professional and even went out of their way to ensure that I was as comfortable as possible, given that I was ready to have a baby. Our salesman Jaslin Rooney was very professional while at the same time compassionate and got us out of there in what I consider to be record time.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great deal which encompasses price, rate and term as well as excellent customer service. I would especially recommend Jaslin Rooney, he was the best car salesman either of us has ever had.
The rest of the staff was courteous as well, together they made an otherwise unpleasant experience very positive.

I just read my review and it says I wouldn’t recommend the dealership, that isn’t what I checked off…
OF COURSE I WOULD! I wouldn’t have taken the time to post a review!
This is the best dealership in the world! Jaz Rooney was my salesman and he was great. I would definitely recommend Sunrise Ford because they treated me good and had lots of cars and also made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. It was fast and easy. I bought a 2010 Ford Fusion and I love it! Thank you Sunrise Ford!
Paid reviews dont count.
Do you work for the company! This is a total ripoff joint and all they care about is screwing the customers. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM NO MATTER WHAT! TAKE IT FROM ALL OF OUR EXPERIENCES! DO NOT GO THERE! DO NOT GO THERE!
I went to this dealership to determine if the car I wanted was going to work for our family. I got there and waited for about 20 minutes to meet a salesperson when there was nobody on the carlot. Once I met Al, I found him to be not truthful about their inventory and very pushy about the type of car that I was looking for. When it came time to purchase the car, there was a tremendous amount of pressure and Al struggled to identify certain aspects of the car and its features. Further, the finance person explained material as if I had been the victim of recent head injury and then repeated himself four times when I told him that I did not wish to add additional features to my already negotiated deal. Finally, the follow through was the WORST. I mean WORST that anyone could ever imagine. Nobody answers the phones and then when you have a question, the salespeople all of a sudden state, “…it doesn’t say Al Tanner Ford on the sign does it…I am just a salesperson, I can’t answer that question…”. I would really encourage anyone buying a Ford to go anywhere else. Go to Burge or Santa Monica Ford or Galpin. Just stay away from these cheesers!!!!
I had a test drive on Ford Ranger 48 miles on speedometer, a little dirty, they would not give me a quote, Ian said “most people pay the sticker price.” I said “they must be fools but all I want is a quote”, he said “I must fill out a credit report,” I said “I want to pay cash when I buy”..He said “you may still have to fill one out”..I said to the manager, “why should I fill out a credit report when I am paying cash,” he said “you mean greenbacks?”… I said “yes, cash”.. He said “we must investigate and see if you are a criminal.” They were filling out the forms.. I took my keys and left with the excuse that I was getting gas, one fellow came running after me… “You are coming back aren’t you!”…Another fellow called Jerry called all day the day before, and also when I got back.. He said please I worked so hard for you, I said doing what? https://cardealercheck.com/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif
The worst exprience ever. The lied about everything. They told me they had the vehicle Iw anted, they didn’t The promised a price, they lied!!! Iw ould never walk back into that store if they gave me a car for free. I ended up going to Galpin ford close by, turns out they are the largest in the world and man they treated me like a KING!!! Great price, great selection. Idrove home in my brand new Ford fusion and love it!!!
They roped me into coming onto the lot by quoting me a great price on a hybrid in an email exchange, swore up and down on the phone that they would “take care of me.” When I got there, they wanted me to fill out paperwork, which I didn’t want to do until I got a confirmation of the price they had quoted me. The salesman went into the sales managers’ room, came back and said that yes, they were offering me the price they had quoted me in the email. I filled out the paperwork, waited half-an-hour, and lo-and-behold, another manager came out and said there had been a mistake, the actual price was much higher. I argued with them for a few minutes, then left angrily. One of their other manager weasels came running after me, saying they wanted to make it up to me and maybe they could sell me something else. Wow, how generous of them. When it became clear that I wasn’t going to fall for their “get them on the lot any way you can” scumbag routine, this guy actually had the audacity to insult me for believing the original price they quoted me, that I should have clearly known it was a “mistake.” He failed to explain why every other salesman and manager that I had dealt with on the lot, for at least an hour all seemed to think it was a reasonable price until they decided to “turn the tables” on me. This is truly a dishonest and disreputable place. They are pure pondscum — avoid Sunrise Ford at all costs.
