    My Toyota of Des Moines review

    I purchased a used Toyota Corolla from Toyota of Des Moines in 2008. The salesman we worked with tried to be friendly, but in the process he treated my wife and I like idiots. We felt like the dealership was completely unwilling to lower their price, which was higher than Kelley Blue Book and Edmunds TMV indicated it should be.

    The worst aspect of our transaction was that the car we ended up purchasing did not have the same features that it was advertised to have. We discovered on the drive home that the car did not have any form of cruise control, despite the window sticker clearly indicating that not only did it have cruise control, but that it had been inspected and deemed to be in good working order. The dealer’s maintenance department was accomodating and installed a cruise package after-market free of charge. However, we later discovered (after driving the car for several months) that the car also did not have the anti-lock brakes that were advertised to have been inspected and in good working order.

    We felt the service we recieved was poor at best and the product we were sold was advertised to have been inspected and obviously had not been. I will never buy a car from this dealer again and tell everyone I know who is considering shopping for cars in Des Moines to avoid doing business with them as well.
