I recently purchased a Mazda3 i Touring from Tom Roush Mazda in Westfield, Ind. I'm completely satisfied with the car, but not so happy with the dealer. I started off by talking to the Internet Sales Manager Alex Oh, who had given me a good quote and had sent me an e-mail about a $200 gas card coupon on their web site. All sounded good. When I got there, they completely low-balled my trade-in, and even though I was able to negotiate, I'm still not happy with the price they gave me for it. Then I was passed on to Darrin Hendricks. I had no problems with Darrin - he was very helpful and told me a lot about the car and walked me through the process. When it came time for paperwork, I showed the gas card coupon to the finance manager who acted like he knew what to do with it but told me to hang onto it. Nothing ever happened with it, so I talked to Alex the next day and he told me that it wasn't a gas card coupon, but that he would have knocked another $200 off the car if I had shown it to him. If I had known that it was worth money off the car instead of a gas card like I had been told, I would have mentioned it during the negotiations. Communication with the customers seems to be a problem there. I would not recommend this dealer.
