Why car salesmen get bad names

No courtesy or honesty here! Wasted an entire Saturday afternoon here. When given a quote from another dealer, rather than saying upfront that he couldn't or wouldn't beat it- he REPEATEDLY made trips "to his boss" to try to "get me a better price". Adding insult to injury- when shown the printout from CONSUMER REPORTS which indicates exactly what price the dealer had paid for the car I was looking at- he flat out denied it and insisted that they paid thousands more. My money is on the accuracy of Consumer Reports. This is why car salesmen have such bad reputations!!
