I went in to purchase a 328i. I had just graduated from law school, landed my dream job and wanted to upgrade my 325i. I was hopeful that I would be able to obtain a manual transmission but given their rarity I knew I would have to be patient. Also, the X drive was preferable as it snows where I live (about 3 hours from Reno) After about 6 months of continually looking I left the dealership with an X3. I was very uncertain of this car when I left the lot as it was a much bigger vehicle than I wanted and also because of it's automatic transmission. After having the car for 15 days I contacted the dealership to see what my options were as far as trading it back in. It took a few days to even get a call back. When I would call I would get told multiple excuses and told they would call me back. Finally, they told me it would be very difficult to get me out of the car and basically left it at that, not answering any of my questions as to why it would be difficult. My distaste for the X3 is extreme. Everytime I get in it to drive I want to cry. This vehicle is just not for me. Having been told it was be "difficult" to get me out of the X3 I contacted several dealerships in California. During my trip to California I found that I was "stuck" with the X3 given how inflated the profit was. In fact, by driving the X3 off the lot 14-15 days later I was not in the hole about $6,500. All 3 of the dealerships spent several hours trying to explore my options but all agreed it would be unconsionable for them to make a deal with me as I would be out $6,500.
My advice- drive to California. The service is much better, the prices are CHEAPER, and they actually care about you as a customer as opposed to the sale. Or, if you are ok with getting treated like you are buying a $1,500 car from the corner used car sales man, shop in Reno.

When I spoke with Scott Callister the General Manager after showing us a 2007 BMW X3 he said it would have all new tires, brakes, and service done on the vehicle. We had a new set of chrome wheels put on the vehicle and took it home. That night the left front tire went flat, it seems they forgot to tighten the valve stem so the tire went flat. Then I looked at the brakes and noticed the discs were very worn. When I asked why the brakes were not new I recieved either no answers and was told to be sure to bring the vehicle back in a year or so and they will install the new brakes. We also brought our 2007 997 Turbo in to have the front bumper painted to get the road chip marks out. I called on the day it was to be finished and was told they need more time since the car was painted more Blue then the Black the car was paint at the factory. Once again we were told one things during the sale and then something else after they had our money.

Now that was only the beginning of our problems. Next my wife looked at a BMW M6. After a few deals on the car we bought the car

We told Bill Pearce Motors we would pick it up in about a week. Remember earlier in this article I said I let me guard down, well that was a mistake. When I read the contract that night I noticed the car was a 2008 not 2009 as we were shopping for.

Remember I did not take the car house yet and I called the next day and said I wanted a 2009 and did not want this car. When I went back to the dealership the next day to rescind the deal with Scott Callistor the General Sales Manager who sold me both vehicles .

At this point when we met with Scott Callistor we asked to get our money back or gt a 2009 car as we thought we bought the day before. Once again we were lied to by Scott Callistor he stated ( the 2008 and 2009 M6 were the SAME Car the ONLY difference was the price. Scott Callistor then lowered the price again and using Scott’s lie as the reason we rewrote the deal for less money and said we would take the car in about a week.

We picked up the car a few days later and when I was checking the internet for some other M6 info when I found out we were lied to AGAIN by Scott Callistor. There were many new items I could have gotten on the 2009 M6 models and the cars were differences in the 2009 model M6. That night I put the M6 in my garage and noticed many problems with the paint and body work.

When I called Scott Callistor the next day he told my the car did not have that much damage to it and that Bill Pearce did not have to disclose the damage or repairs done to the car. So we returned the car to the dealership and told them we wanted our
money back but once again.

Scott Callistor a few days later called and said the Manager had requested we give them ONE MORE TIME to fix the car right. Against our better judgment we agreed and when it was repaired for a third time it was even worst then the first two times. So we left the car there and asked for our money back again. Now we know Scott Callistor lied to us about the year of the car, the fact that the car was 432 days old when we got this "NEW" car, Scott then lied about the amount of work done or needed to be done to repair the vehicle to new see Estimate of $5664.40 to repair this NEW car that had front end damage, a big 3/4 inch hole drill in the hood, truck lid painted hood, fender and front grill paint. Next read the report out lining how Scott Callistor and Bill Pearce Motors LIED to us, see Official Wreckcheck Car Scan Center Report

Scott Callistor and Bill Pearce Motors to this day say that nothing happened to the car but a small dent on the hood, they fixed but did not legally have to disclose that to me. See Photos of the hole in the hood, and the mis-alignment of the hood, front grill and bumpers.

Called the dealership & gave all of my information to them over the phone to find out if they had anything that I could afford. They informed me that they had several vehicles. So I made the one hour trip to see what they had. The car sales person started to show us around, then left to take care of another customer. Then she came back, then wondered off to another customer of hers again. I actually didn't mind because I didn't feel hounded, but at the same time when I had a question she wasn't there. Also one of the cars i was really interested she said was actually not on there lot, but it was coming.
I ended up buying the car trading in my old car that I had bought there. I finally found something I really liked & could afford. So I told her we'd do the deal. She went off to finance & came back with all of the #'s the way we wanted them. Then she came back & said on top of our trade in would we come up with another $1000.00 in a month. I said that I could possibly come up with that. So I signed a promise to give them the check by a 30 day deadline. I then went straight in to finance to a gentleman that informed me that he was new but had been doing this a while. We got everything done & I noticed my payment was now $100.00 higher so I asked why - he stated that this was because of the extended warranty that we had to carry on the vehicle. So i said if we have to ok - but we can't do anything higher! He then proceeded to say if money was an issue he would type up a second contract so that if we couldn't come up with the $1000.00 the contract would chance & our payment would go up $10.00. So we agreed.
During this time the finance guy also got the payoff amount on my trade in car which was about half of the value so not a problem, he asked for a payoff for 10 days out. I told him that I had a payment that was due & asked if I should pay it, he stated No because that would mess up their payoff amount, not to worry it would be taken care of. He then informed me if they paid it off earlier I would get the extra money back, but if the amount changed to be higher that I would owe the difference. I agreed and signed over the title paperwork. The asked me to send in a few other items that they would need & I told them that I would fax it as I was going out of town for a week or so the following day. The told me that was not a problem!
While I was out of town we had several problems with the boots, struts & brakes on the car. I informed them while out of town that this was a major issue that I think needed looked at as soon as possible. They told me that it could NOT be looked at by someone other than their company & I would have to wait until I got back. I had to call SEVERAL days in a row before getting someone to actually speak to me!
I get home 12 days after the purchase & call & leave a voice mail that I am back & would like to make arraingements to have the car looked at. That afternoon I get a certified letter mailed the day before. That the car I traded in had been repocessed for failure of payment. So I again make SEVERAL calls to the dealership asking for someone in finance or a main manager. Of course there is NO ONE in today. Apparently everyone took the day off but one person! I call about every half hour until I finally get a call back from the finance guy that did our deal. He states that he had no idea that the other car was gone off of their lot & that he had called the Finance Manager whom was off & left him a message reguarding this issue & that he would call me in the morning. That there were no problems but he couldn't help me because my file was in the others office. I again said I didn't understand because they PROMISED to pay & I signed the car over to them. Now I am being told I owe $5000.00 to this other place due to all the tacked on fees. He said it would be straightend out tomorrow.
At 9pm that same evening we hear a noice outside & go out to find that the new car I bought was being repocessed from me. I asked what the h*ll is going on & the guys says that I am late on my payment. I said "WHAT PAYMENT I JUST BOUGHT THE CAR ITS NOT DUE FOR ANOTHER MONTH (45 days from purchase!) He then looks for his paperwork and said " Oh sorry the check you wrote them bounced" I told him " I never wrote them a check, I didn't have to give them a check for the 1000.00 - if we could - in a month - that time has not even come yet! " He looks again & says oh it says you haven't called them and are 2 months behind on your payment. Again I show him that I just bought the car. He says " Just give me the keys or I'm going to take the car & they'll re-key it and charge you 350.00. I tell him they are stealing my car at this point! He say "Nope no we're not I know the manager - you didn't pay your bill" So I proceed to call the police who show up & I explain everything. They agree that I am correct & that the paperwork the repo guy has is bogus. But that there is nothing we can do but let them take the car & take the company to court. The police officer informs us that they have seen alot of this in the last 2 months. The dealerships are praying on people and doing this thinking people can't afford to take them to court. Well I can & I will!!! I don't know what else to do. I am now stuck with out a car & these people have done nothing but lie. Is this even LEGAL???? I would not suggest ANYONE go to this place to buy a car unless you are buying with all your cash in hand. They will work you and lie to you & treat you like you are a thief! I had never been treated so poorly. I even asked the repo man to step off my property away from me & he stated he didn't have to do that & actually stepped closer to me. The police officer informed him when he got there that he indeed was breaking the law. When asked to leave the property they have to stand off. This guy said he is a "friend" of the head of management! Makes me wonder about the management! Oh yes the repo guy did say before he left that this could "all be a misunderstanding - this happens alot!" ALOT - are you kidding me!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!
