after purchasing my vehicle and many disappointing calls to the dealership i found this web-page and read many stories that sounded like mine. these guys are professional scam artists. they should be prosecuted in a court of law for mis-leading people in time of need. sales-service-management-all in it together.they sale vehicles at ANY cost. unfortunately the cost was great in my sale. i've been tricked with a smile.

Went in to see a specific car that I had found on the Internet. When we walked in, we told the salesman which car we were interested in. The salesman took the information down, and looked it up on his computer. He found the car and said 'ah....here it is'.....and then asked if we would also be interested in some other cars as well. When we said we might be, he asked us what mileage we would consider, and we told him we would probably be willing to look at something as long as the mileage we were looking at was under 20K. (The specific car we wanted had 2500 miles on it.)
We told him we were in a hurry, and he had us wait over half an hour and we still hadn't see the car. Finally, we went out in the lot ourselves to look for it, and we saw our salesperson, who told us that the car was behind two other cars, and he needed to go get the keys for those cars to move them out of the way. We said forget it, we just wanted to see the car - we didn't need to drive it. As we were walking over to the car, he 'mentioned' that the actual car we had wanted to see had been sold - funny he didn't mention that when he looked it up on his computer - and he was showing us a different one. We got to it (it was filthy, but whatever) and when we opened the door we saw that it had 41K miles on it. I asked him why he would show us a car with 41,000 miles on it when we specifically told him we wanted a car under 20,000 and he said he wanted to 'surprise us.' Yeah, right. We drove 40 minutes out of our way, and wasted over an hour there. I would NEVER go back to this dealership...NEVER!!!!

Bertera had 14 used cadillac suvs on there website. Drove an hour there. Told me to go sell my truck and come back with 3000 cash and I would absolutely be able to drive home in one without a co-buyer. Sold my truck. Called Steve and was told to come in on sunday morning and drive home in one. Went there Sunday morning with 5000 cash. Looked around for one of the 14 caddys they had on there website. I found 1. It was a brand new one. Steve then offered me a Ford expedition. or a GMC Denali and also said I would still need a co-buyer. Remember now I went for a caddy that they told me they had and there website said they had 14 of them. Also they told me if I had 3000 cash I would def not need a co-buyer. They then held 200 dollars to locate one for me. They will have one by thursday of next week they said. After a week of taking a taxi 100 miles a day to work and back they still had nothing. Nor did they have the courtesey to call me. I had to call them. They then stated that in order for me to get back my 200 dollars I had to be there Mon-Fri between 9am and 4pm. I work like a normal person and could not make it with the hour drive out there before 4pm. After calling 4 more times and fighting on the phone they finally put my check in the mail. I then bought a vehicle elsewhere. The sales manger had nothing to say when i questioned him about the false advertising on the website.. the bait and switch... the LIES...

These people use every trick in the book. The car we looked at had higher mileage, but that's "all highway miles." The car was just traded in "by a friend of the manager's" who "took great care of it."

We were going to pay with cash and didn't have the money right away, so we paid $100 holding fee. No salesperson would return our call while the car was on hold; we presume it was so they could hold out for customers who could pay more for it. After trying to get my fee refunded, they "lost my paperwork" and there was "nothing they could do." They wouldn't even refund me $100.

These people are despicable and they should be ashamed of themselves.

Default Comment on Liars and Cheats

I AGREE. THEY LIED TO ME ABOUT THE INTEREST RATE THAT I COULD QUALIFY FOR AND SO THEY GOT ME A RATE OF 13.99 AND TOLD ME THAT THIS WAS THE BEST THEY COULD DO. AFTER SIGNING ALL THE PAPERWORK I LEARNED THAT I HAD BEEN QUALIFIED FOR 5.9 BY A COMPETITIVE DEALERSHIP. THEY REFUSED TO HELP ME GET A BETTER RATE AND SO I GOT STUCK WITH THE CAR AND A EXTREMILY HIGH INTEREST RATE. THEY LIED TO ME AND DID NOT APPRECIATE MY BUSINESS AS THEY ARE "ONE OF TEH LARGEST DEALERSHIPS IN MA" AND SO MY BUSINESS DID NOT MATTER TO THEM. DO NOT THRUST THEM. DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND GO TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP. ONLY USE THEM AS YOUR LAST OPTION! I AM NOW OUT OVER 20 THOUSAND DOLLARS BECAUSE OF THEM!!! BECAREFULllll
